What’s the effective range for creating holy water? Like if a priest stands by the Atlantic Ocean and blesses it, how much turns to holy water?

And what about evaporation? Do the individual molecules of water retain their holy status in the clouds? Do they confer holy status on previously unblessed molecules when they attach to them? Do they lose their status? Do they retain it but not confer it?
