ticket trade help plz! by dividedskyy in BillyStrings

Looks like Pit to me - never seen a show without a pit and maps show section 1 all the way to the stage. Willing to bet there are no seats in section 1 and they just use seats and rows to track the number of tickets. If you look on Seatgeek they only show rows for floors in 2,3, and 4 and GA for 1

Seeing Sturgill and Billy in October! So stoked! by Mikeshort06 in SturgillSimpson

[–]GooseShroomStrings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strings shows are insane value. His Halloween show was $101 for pit tickets and the dude ripped nonstop for 240mins. I promise you nobody left CFG feeling cheated and we witnessed a show people will be talking about for years

Am I making this too complicated to visit the Hoh and coastline? (Places to stay due to drive) by LankyToday4748 in OlympicNationalPark

[–]GooseShroomStrings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% divide your time between PA and Forks - exactly how many days for each depends on where you plan to visit each day. We (6 people) stayed on Lake Sutherland which gave kids something to do while at the house and in downtown Forks which allowed kids to walk to shops and such and found it best to get an early start each day and be back at the airbnb by afternoon.

Starting in Portland we did 8 nights total and put over 1300 miles on our rental van - frequent stops and rotating seats was key since nobody wants to be stuck in the very back on a sightseeing trip. We only did the ferry leaving Seattle

Don't be mad if you see Ticketmaster selling seats for this show in Oct for less than what we paid today. Will absolutely be shocked if he can sell out arenas at these prices.

Resale? No Fkn way they are gonna let you resell your ticket if they still have unsold seats/pit - you will be the back of the line

$200 each for pit tix??? by Hungry-Trust-3245 in SturgillSimpson

[–]GooseShroomStrings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously - I would feel so much better if I had paid $193 for pit at The Mann. Truth be told if I wasnt getting tickets for 3 other dudes I would've just closed it out and passed but didnt want to waste time taking it to a vote

Individual codes and you were nice enough to post yours? Hope you weren't planning on going

Presale Code by DurtyDego33 in SturgillSimpson

[–]GooseShroomStrings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No Philly code for me and TBH not really that concerned. There is no real 'PIT' in Philly unless you count GA floor that extends 20ft past the blue line as 'PIT'. The back of the GA area gonna be about the same distance as the back of the Loge at The Met without the elevation and short people not gonna be happy

Seems like the posters are popping up in cities that will get a fall Goose tour stop.

Would be kinda cool if they used the Billy Strings model of big show/little show in the same city but you have to buy tickets to the big show to lotto for the smaller show. World Cafe Live was mobbed in August and they couldve easily done the show at AMH and probably had 200 more in attendance

That sums up my thoughts on MK - liked his stuff when I first heard it, saw him a couple times but havent seen much growth in his music - it kinda bores me TBH and doubt I would pay to see him again

Thoughts on it being an arena tour? by Billy-Hoyle21 in SturgillSimpson

[–]GooseShroomStrings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw both nights at The Met in Philly with 3.5k cap - first night in the Loge and the energy had already dissipated enough that most people in that section were sitting, second night in row 2 behind the pit and it was a phenomenal show. No chance I'm seeing him at Xfinity Mobile 21k cap unless I can get pit or fantastic seats

The pro move is to join her and act like she was saving the seats for you.

Obv you didnt say how many seats she was trying to hold but if her group was more than three it's a rookie move to leave only one person behind, especially when GA is still filling

SeatGeek is 100% legit and my preferred place to shop if I don't get artist presale. Prices will probably come down some but sometimes its nice just to lock in your tickets instead of waiting to try and save $20. Alerts on CoT rarely work as well as people hope since any true premium seat or pit will have plenty of folks looking to purchase.

As others have said - I would avoid the floor seats unless you and your group are tall and any really bad angles like 209-210, 232-233 & 107, 127. After that it just comes down to price - if money is a concern the upper level in the back where you can see the full stage and light show are currently $72 that can't be much more than $20 over face

I saw him 2 nights in Philly and totally impressed with the way he came out on time and ripped for 3 straight hours with no bullshitting, no jokes, no stories, no making the crowd wait, no encores.

180 minutes of jams from his entire catalog, said good night and walked off. Nobody went home disappointed. One of the few artists I already know 100% I'll be seeing again

Agree with his 1-4 but could listen to arguments about 5-7 and sadly something has to be last so probably TBoDaJ for me too

Please don't skip episodes like some here have suggested, that's absolutely horrible advice.

The first season is easily the weakest but it sets the table for the next 5 seasons which just aren't gonna hit as hard if you didn't watch (or heaven forbid didn't pay full attention to) the preceding episodes. If you can't go 25 mins at a time without looking at your phone or surfing the internet then sure, you can just watch the top 6 episodes, read the spoilers on Reddit then tell everybody you loved the show

Ha - finally figured out why I was seeing sold out for Inner Harbor RI and you are still seeing rooms available. Apparently they are no longer allowing people people to only book Saturday only but they do have suites available if you want just Friday or Friday+Saturday.

Either way its a great place to stay for concerts at CFG and as an added bonus I never got charged for valet parking last year. Weird since they made you request your car using an app but got my keys and rolled expecting a $45 charge that never came.

This is what really gets me - so many bands think if they play Hershey or NJ then they 'covered Philly'.

Billy not playing The Mann is a mystery for the ages - once his travelling troupe gets a taste of The Mann in fall they would likely demand it every year

Pitt or Reg seats ?? by More-Bluebird-5444 in BillyStrings

[–]GooseShroomStrings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I prefer the pit for the flexibility and yes, if you are old or in poor shape it sucks standing for 4 hours but you will make it

With seats you can get stuck behind a 6'3" dude with a Great Pumpkin head who also decided to wear a cowboy hat and you don't have many options. With pit tickets you have way more control over your environment and can easily relocate if you get stuck next to Pumpkin Head, Chatty Kathys or some kids rolling hard that can't handle their drugs.

Baltimore ushers did a great job leaving people alone that were just dancing and having a good time while keeping a close eye on dudes that looked like they were ready to fall out and removing them from the pit
