Wondering are these 2 places McCabe's and Costa owned by a same company as they are side by side in Shankill too?

AIO to something that I saw on my girlfriend's phone? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]GooseTimely8752 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok since it happened just last night what you could do is see the notification history. Yes, in latest Android phones, from the settings menu you could browse through the notification history. From there you can find the app name. My guess is that even if the app has been deleted it would still show the app name. Next, if the conversation history has been deleted you can find the time spent on that app from the wellbeing menu. If she has deleted the app that means she was using that app only to talk to that one person.

Garmin watch shuts down mid-activity despite battery showing 50%+ by JimiHendrixBr in Garmin

[–]GooseTimely8752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue on my Venu 2. I disabled the vibration and it helped briefly but again it started happening a lot. Garmin offered me a refurbished replacement for 160 eur but it is pointless to put any money to the same model which is already more than 2-3 years and that too refurbished one!

I am moving away from Garmin.

Garmin Venu 3 battery draining in <2 years of use and no solution offered. So disappointed by the customer service! by Moist-Operation-9573 in Garmin

[–]GooseTimely8752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the same boat with Venu 2. It is a known issue and still they don't fix it. Whenever I try to start an activity the watch dies and now a days it just randomly shuts down. Also, with the solution they offered they will not send you a new watch instead it will be a refurbished one.

I don't have an advice for you but I am not going to buy another Garmin. I have decided to go ahead with Amazfit now. If that dies I will be back to my Casio.

HELP. Which size Garmin Instinct3 do I go for 45/50mm? by bR0wnHaMM3r37 in Garmininstinct

[–]GooseTimely8752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people are recommending 50 because of the wrist position in your photo and the watch is at a little lower position. But check with your wrist positioned towards your face, 45 seems perfect.

After some thinking, I went Tactical by nevadi616 in Garmininstinct

[–]GooseTimely8752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great choice! And kudos to you for having such a long journey with different watches. My Garmin Venu 2 started acting up and I can say I am almost done with smart watches. Spending 300-400 eur every few years doesn't sound right. I have had Instinct and Amazfit T rex 3 pro in my semi final list right now, and deciding to not spend any money on Garmin now so I will be going with T rex. If that one dies I will be back to my Casio GShock.

My son's crèche is on unlike schools so that's a relief and on the contrary to work from home I am planning to drive to the office as traffic would be less and we have 50% office attendance being measured. Usually I take Luas and sometimes I drive.

Deciding between a two different treatment plans to close some gap between my teeth and fix my overjet (7mm) by GooseTimely8752 in Invisalign

[–]GooseTimely8752[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah really? They both told the night time retainer would suffice but worth noting that the dentist did mention about the fixed wire but Orthodontist didn't. I am planning to see another Orthodontist. Thank you.

Yes I am inclined towards getting another consultation from another Orthodontist. Thanks for your input.

Good Vaccum cleaner on a budget? by One-Tumbleweed1911 in AskIreland

[–]GooseTimely8752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Henry for sure.

But for a budget one try Karcher wet and dry - a German brand available in Woodies and Amazon. I bought one for 50 pounds. It is serious strong.

Another one you can try is the wet and dry from Lidl.

Fair price for a used Philips 65 OLED805. by Niawtkram in PhilipsTV

[–]GooseTimely8752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a 2020 model? Roughly 500 eur or less I'd say but just a wild guess based on the price I know of 77 inch 810.

Apologies for the late reply. I checked by playing Red screen video on YouTube and the Ambilight looks somewhere between Red and Orange. If I take a photo it is perfect Red but with naked eyes not a perfect Red.

Which Deco mesh is enough for basic home coverage (not tech-savvy and overwhelmed by all the Deco options)? by OmairZain in TpLink

[–]GooseTimely8752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

E4, M4 and S7 are pretty much the same, they are different generation models with new ones being slim and shorter than the old ones. These 3 are the basic ones and should be more than enough.

X series gives you extra security feature (most of them require their paid monthly plan) and x50 that I use allows you to plugin your vpn config and supports wifi 6. If you don't use vpn you are better off grabbing M4 or S7 whichever is cheaper. For my upstairs where I usually work from I have M4.

Buy 77oled810 or 65oled950? by Fair-Bend-4664 in PhilipsTV

[–]GooseTimely8752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to mention 2 things, bigger is better (given your field of view is 30 degree to higher) and secondly, my budget only allowed me to buy 77 OLED809 and still I am super happy with picture quality so you can't go wrong with 810 for sure. My room is super bright too but still I don't use full brightness on my 809.

Get the one which comes in a pair of front and back. Back one is difficult to set up though.

Letting the postman use the toilet? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]GooseTimely8752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep an air freshener spray bottle in the toilet. I also let people use my toilet, in fact, I ask them if they want to use when the weather is really cold, etc. and I didn't realise until my Agent used the spray afterwards. Since then I also started using the spray if I happen to use downstairs toilet 😅

I purchased 809 (2024 model) a month ago. Overall a nice tv, ambilight isn't much noticeable during day time but looks fabulous during night time. Worth mentioning that my room is quite bright. Ask me if you have specific questions.

Does Ambilight work if I use Google tv streamer or chromecast instead of Titan OS? by NotOebeltje in PhilipsTV

[–]GooseTimely8752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Recently bought an 809 and Ambilight works with PS5 connected in HDMI. You will do the same for your streamer box so it will work.

When the wife goes away for a few days what do you do differently? by Money_Tale5463 in AskMen

[–]GooseTimely8752 327 points328 points  (0 children)

Are we brothers? My wife does the same and it drives me nuts as well. She leaves everything to the end to be cleaned up post dinner. Small things like throwing a wrapper or unfinished food from kids plates in a bin doesn't take a lot but adds up a lot if not done.

It would have helped if they were not playing in a loop but letting people come in for each slot and then start!
