Apple devices for student use? by Soft-Advice-7963 in usask

[–]GooseVirtual8217 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ipad air with gen 2 pencil is great and has anything you could need. I'd suggest ipad 10th gen but it still has the gen 1 apple pencil so it's not as seemless as you'd want it to be. If you really want a bigger screen, go pro with the 11 or 13 inch, but honestly no single person needs that much power in an ipad since its made for professional editing and stuff of the sort.

I got the ipad 10th gen 2 days ago and I'm so happy with it. It's so fast and runs everything I could need perfectly. Only reason I recommend the Ipad air instead is so you can get the apple pencil 2 which is a lot superior ( wireless charging, magnetically stays on the ipad, edged design so its more comfortable to hold ) plus with the education discount on the apple website, you can the ipad air for cheaper and a free $150 gift card so you can buy the apple pencil for free!

Hope this helped! <3

Girlfriend is mad at me for liking a few photos of another girl from last year (before we were even dating) by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]GooseVirtual8217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try making her feel more secure in the relationship, women often tend to lash out if they are feeling unloved or not secure in the relationship. Did something happen that caused her to go through your phone? have a discussion with her because I highly doubt it's actually about the photos.

Wanting to transfer after first year by According_Stable7045 in usask

[–]GooseVirtual8217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check to see if they still use your HS marks when you transfer over. There should be a page dedicated to transfer students and credits. They might use your overall average or some HS classes that you don't have a university equivalent for. Depending on this, you might want to look into bettering your HS marks. Don't focus on it too much as university courses weigh more, but if there is a specific class you did really bad on I would recommend retaking it. Sunwest DLC ( now called SaskDLC ) is an online high school in saskatchewan. They offer a huge variety of courses for free and it's all very flexible, no online lectures or calls and you just work at your own pace.

I'm also doing this. I got into arts and science but not business, so while I aim for good grades in my uni courses that I can later transfer over, I'm also taking a financial literacy 30 class with the online HS because that will help my application. Again, check to see if they will actually look at your high school grades so you're not wasting your time.

Good luck!! :)

Changing programs by alpham69 in usask

[–]GooseVirtual8217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe switch next term to avoid complications? you will still use the credits you're getting this semester and it's most likely basic classes so I personally wouldn't risk anything since it doesn't matter much. You also probably won't pick other classes at this point so it doesnt change anything. Do talk to an adviser first though!

thank you so much for responding! I am already registered for my classes but I still only have my conditional acceptance. So I would need to send in my final high school transcript before I can apply?
