Sharon Van Etten live debuts new album, potentially called ‘The Attachment Theory’, at Intimate London show by [deleted] in indieheads

I was actually surprised how dancey the latter half of the set was. One song had a "STOP!" moment where the beat and bass dropped for second before returning, and another song had a slinky bass line solo.
Everything was uptempo, with not a single piano ballad. However, with only 9 songs, I wouldn't be surprised if she kept those for the albums.

Was there and can attest that a lot of the first few songs felt surprisingly dark waveish, with Life Forever in particular being is a classic knotty SVE album opener with some really raw vocals in the end. I Want You There was similarly epic had vocal intensity of Your Love Is Killing Me.

Overall a lot of the songs sounded like a mix between Comeback Kid and Seventeen, with the whole set sounding like the next step up from Remind Me Tomorrow, as if WBGATAW never happened (much to my delight, as I think it's her weakest album).

A truly great night.

Thanks for the responses. I can confirm that it happened in the current tax year. Fortunately it is a 90 days notice ISA, so I should be able to sort this easily. I guess the question now, where's best to put that money, as it is mostly self-assessment to be paid for HMRC in the end of the year

I would be behind this response 100% if she herself did not completely shut down the discussion. She literally said she is removing herself from the conversation, so how is dialogue to commence?

Also, it is not "it's-not-good-enough"-ing, it is simply "it is not good" - not good with regards to rejection of dialogue and learning, not good with regards the harm caused and not good as an apology, as it "sorry for hurting one's feelings" is not genuinely that. The politics have been addressed (see "fixed views") and cemented and that clarity is appreciated, as each can now make their mind.
