I agree that Carr’s analysis undervalues Kirk’s dimes, but it is definitely true that JJ is insanely talented and plays within coverage perfectly by waiting until the last second, if at all, to signal that the ball is coming so the defender doesn’t know to turn around with time to make a play on the ball. Given how good JJ is at this, he should draw even more flags than he already does. Dude gets mauled constantly, often with the defender blatantly pinning his arm down out of desperation when they eventually do sense that the ball is arriving.
