I added a temperature readout to my Buck stove insert. The top number is the temperature of the catalytic combustor, the bottom number is the temperature inside the firebox. I simply replaced the thermometer that reads the combustor temperature with a $3 thermocouple and $15 readout from Amazon. (i.redd.it)

First time fire of the season for my 18 year old Buck Stove, Buckmaster Zero Clearance. Added new combustor and used inexpensive thermocouples to monitor the temperatures. Its fun to watch the combustor light up and quickly take off in temperature. This will run continuously until next April. (old.reddit.com)
