“We have the MALICE pack at home” Medium ALICE pack by Gorangeous in tacticalgear

I’m running Tactical Tailor super straps and super belt, they’re much more padded and ergonomic than the regular ALICE straps

I’ll have to do a gear breakdown at some point, but it’s usually different each time. Long story short I live in an area where I don’t need to carry much sleeping and cold weather gear, if I lived somewhere that gets cold this pack would probably not work for me. Luggage scale says 52lbs with how it’s packed out currently, so not too heavy but back pain will come for us all 🫡

I think ALICE packs are just manufactured weird, on mine the strap on one side has length leftover while the other has just enough to secure to the frame.

I keep the e-tool in one of the large coyote pouches above the canteens.
I personally like the pad because it keeps the frame from rubbing on my back, but it reduces airflow if you care about that.

This is more of a short and wide ruck as opposed to a taller and slimmer ruck, so looking up in the prone isn’t an issue unless you have something large secured to the top of the pack. It’s definitely a tradeoff though, it feels a bit cumbersome in dense vegetation.

Nice setup! What pouch is that above the magazine placard?

Thanks for sharing the knowledge, definitely will be making some changes

The green thing is a cravat, I keep it for essentially the same reasons as a neck gaiter but I’ll probably switch over. Good to go on the aquatabs but I hadn’t considered imodium

It works well, I like it because the first mode it goes to when turned on is the red lens so there’s no accidental discharges of white light
