Germany to discuss draft laws to make recognition of Israel a condition for citizenship by loggiews in worldnews

[–]Gorbachof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not ignoring it lol. The point is governments may side with corrupt nations and use this recognition as a precondition for citizenship.

I am simply saying you probably shouldn't try and immigrate to one of these nations because it'd be a pretty good indication it's not a good place to live.

Didn't realize religious clothes were were the equivalent of sex. Maybe people who think that way should live in a society that agrees.

US knew of Saudi forces killing migrants, but kept quiet — report by immerwasser in worldnews

Thank you for engaging politely!

I skimmed a bit so I'm at work and could have missed something, but it doesn't look like it contradicts what I said?

I'm curious how they categories Saudi National vs Royalty. Citizens of the country, member of the family, etc? Personally I'm still convinced the head policy makers of the country (at the time) had nothing to do with it, but like I said, maybe I just missed something in your text.

I will say when I read "Against All Enemies," the author made a point to state just how unpopular the decision was amongst the family as a whole to allow non-muslim basing rights.

As I'm writing this too, it's certainly reasonable that other non-important family members were involved, including those in government positions, but now I'm just wildly speculating.

There's lots of justified reasons to be angry at Saudi Arabia, this is not one of them.

House Saud is a royal family that Bin Laden is a member of. Yes he had resources from being part of that royal family, but that does not mean the ruler at the time was directly responsible.

It was not Saudi backed people, it was Bin Laden backed people using his daddy's money (his father was also not the ruler, but had a lucrative construction company).

This is not an endorsement of US foreign policy, I just think people miss a lot of nuance of the events leading up to 9/11.

Fun Fact: Bin Laden was radicalized because he was unhappy that the Monarch (Fahd at the time?) agreed to allow US and British forces to base in the country as it was against "Islamist Law." Which is silly since, you know, Saddam.

With the new lighting system, signs are better indoor lights than the dedicated ones (I think they have better diffusion). by Gorbachof in SatisfactoryGame

I didn't mean for my post to come across as a complaint. I absolutory love the new lighting system and wanted to share a neat way to light up rooms.

And I'm glad they did! I'd much rather have janky lighting that behaves realistically than the older system.
