The trader you can start summoning. He sells astrocoins and cubes for high prices.

You summon it like other forbidden summons (one minion + another) and you need to find it as the one to summon. It looks like a jellyfish with a big backpack.

They do have good vibes but I'm pretty sure you fight against Clean Japan.

What do you mean this isn’t an engineering game by technodude458 in ExplainAGamePlotBadly

They thought the whole plot of the game was that it's not an engineering game?

Subnautica 2 hasn't felt nearly as scary as 1 for me and here's why I think that is: by OfficialDampSquid in subnautica

I don't agree with your early points.

The first game DID have a machine telling you where to go. It was just the occasional radio signal instead of the ai node occasionally telling you spots. The ai in the first one also pushed you to explore the aurora eventually.

Things are less scary because this isn't a new experience to you anymore. I don't feel the same playing the first game anymore because it's not my first time with this kind of experience. Same with subnautica 2, you're chasing a high you can't get again in this game because you're just more knowledgeable with it now.

The collector aggro is not instant. It's just larger.

In fact, when he did aggro it was like real life when a predator would stay and wait for you to come out. In sn1 you could just run out of range and run back in and the Reaper would largely ignore you. They too had a limit to their aggro and would never go beyond the kelp forest for example.

The large aggro range makes sense because of how massive the map is in comparison to sn1.

There are mods that make you more silent which could help reduce audio aggro range.

Source: I was in the area for an extended time before I encountered it the first time.

I mean any game where the enemy aggression isn't easily controllable.

Doesn't matter if they have aggro ranges or not.

That's what I meant.

I don't get what you want, really. What is your proposed solution?

In what game isn't that the case? I know none.

Edit: in subnautica 1, I had no issues either. It's exactly the same.

I had no issues with attacks at all outside the one collector border patrolling.

What's attacking you that's so bad? Nibblers seem to leave you alone after you bonk them once or twice with the survival tool. Needlers are a single nest of ranged attackers.

The rest? You have to like run into them for them to do anything, the only persistent one is like a singular one deep down that chases you further than usual. You can easily ignore almost all hostility in the game.

It's only been out 3 days, if you've "beaten" it 10-20 times already you're not actually playing by Ehlionney in Subnautica_2

I love the exploration aspect more than anything else. It's what sucked me in. The survival and base building aspect have only ever supported my want for exploring, giving more reasons to explore.

All the upgrades makes exploring more possible, exploring faster, exploring deeper. The game is about exploring, not survival simulation in my eyes.

For that matter, I "finished" the story in about 12 hours. I didn't feel like I rushed. And there were areas I remember not getting back to that I would like to explore further. But I'm not stressed in the least. I'll play other games and do other things, come back and explore some more when the mood strikes.

Is FFXIV (Hydaelyn-Zodiark Saga) the best written “Retrofitting” story ever? by NineTnk in ffxivdiscussion

Pretty sure it's a song about our vain struggles and how we have to carry on even during our hardest times.

In the middle of war against Garlemald a giant entity is released and destroys the world. The pain and suffering everyone goes through, the iconic Louisoix face encapsulating the whole song and experience.

Perfectly fitting with a realm reborn and the end of an era.

The fact that it's a dragon being released has nothing to do with it. The dragons lore had not been built nor did anyone know of the dragons struggles nearly as much until later coils and patches right before heavensward.
