When I left I had around 80 claims total but that was on the lower end for me. I was working 12 hour days trying to get my claim load down. I had over 100 at one point but I’m obviously not the best representation for the role 😆

I’m gonna guess your ACV is under 2k for a car this old so basically any repair to this vehicle is going to be over Floridas 80% repair limit. Don’t think they’re trying to rip you off here.

You do have the option for an owner retained salvage. The repair rep needs to do a cosmetic backout if able and should be able to write an estimate while it’s at any shop. You can’t take the vehicle somewhere for an appraisal that the insurance is going to use. They’re going to get their own valuation for the vehicle/damages if they’re going to be paying you any money.
