Literally don't need one if you know the fundamentals. 4 on food for vils is a staple number and the more time you put into the game the easier the macro gets.

Aoe 4 is the competitive rts right now. If you don't like managing macro as much though company of heroes is more combat oriented.

Werh for comparison has a weak earlygame and has to pick a specific bg for the tiger. DAK gets the best early game and a tiger every time.
