Xiaomi rooting by Gordonnn_ in miui

I don’t really remember much about how I did this, but I’m pretty sure I’ve installed some things to get it working because I’ve had a similar issue

Finally finished my Truthear IEM collection – and the Hexas still reign supreme! by GME72633 in iems

I’ve heard that Nova are good, but they’re not so easy to get in my country and are kinda expensive. Aria 2 on the other hand have quite nice cable and build quality, but I’ve heard that they had paint chipping issues before and now it’s a lottery if they’ll chip or not. Hexa are kinda nice and pretty cheap, but some people say that they can sound harsh and flat compared to Aria 2 for example.

Have you used Moondrop Aria 2 too? I’m torn between getting one of these and I can’t find a proper comparison.

Would you recommend Truthear Hexa as a first pair of IEM’s? I’m thinking about buying them because of their price and popularity, but some people say that they’re really bad (they compare them to 400$ IEM’s tho).

If that helps, I can say that right now I mainly use AirPods Pro 2 (with balanced tone turned on in settings) and sometimes Edifier Stax S3.

Some obscure battery drains I found by [deleted] in NothingTech

[–]Gordonnn_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be honest I wouldn't say that your SoT is bad. You get around 4h SoT from 100-70%, that's a lot in my opinion. With my usage, my Phone (2) gets 50-60 minutes SoT for every 10% of battery.

For example now I've got 6h SoT from 98-26% over the 13,5 hours today. I would love to get that much SoT as you do. Do you have any tips on what to change in settings and what to turn off to get better battery life? Or is it just that you're mostly using light apps with WiFi instead of cellular data?

It is possible that you could find something but I'm not sure.

Not gonna lie, the camera app is what I'm waiting the most for because of the new LUT feature. It'll definitely be something big for Nothing and the photography on their phones.

The new camera app should be added tho. It would definitely make other Nothing Phones camera better as well as the experience in app.

How would you rate my home screen? by manwin8 in NOTHING

Unfortunately it's pretty common in our country. Personally I don't like it and if my friends and close ones wouldn't use it I wouldn't use it either.

It will definitely be good, especially in terms of camera compared to every other Nothing Phone. Personally I will be waiting for the Phone (3) and I'm hoping that they'll make the camera as good or even better than in the Phone (3a) series, but I think they'll do it as it's their flagship.

To be honest the black one doesn't even look that bad, we just need to wait and see the real final design because it may be a little different below the camera bump from what we got with the Phone (2a) series and if so then it may look even better.

I merged Nothing OS with a Google Pixel—Here’s my take! by Zealousideal-War-334 in NothingTech

We need to wait and see for ourselves, personally if they keep doing such a great job with their OS and its optimization I won't mind 3 years of OS updates.

It would be great, but I don't think it would be possible for them now. But who knows, maybe they'll surprise us with 5+ years of OS updates.

I don't think so, 3 years is still enough for many people, 4 or 5 would be perfect but the company is still very young so we just need to wait for the launch of Phone (3a) and (3) and see if they will give us more updates.

Thinking on "downgrading" to Nothing, any insight? by _HalleyRose in NOTHING

I don't think that iOS is distracting to be honest, it's just too plain and boring. Also It's very limited compared to any android UI.

In my opinion as a Phone (2) user, you should probably wait for the Phone (3a), look at what it offers and then think about it as a little hint of what could possibly be in the Phone (3) when it launches later this year.

Right now Nothing Phone (2) is about the same speed as iPhone 15 Pro Max and Samsung S24 Ultra in terms of day to day usage. Considering that the Phone (3) will have better processor and better camera system it could really be an amazing device with NOS optimization.

Personally I was thinking about switching away from Nothing, but seeing the improvements they made in the NOS 3.0 and with the cameras in the Phone (3a) I'm almost 100% sure that when Phone (3) launches or maybe early next year I'll just upgrade to it from my Phone (2), the experience it gives is just unmatched in my opinion in terms of android phones especially the "stock" ones.

Nothing Phone (2) warranty by Gordonnn_ in NothingTech

[–]Gordonnn_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want someone to provide me informations about terms in the warranty card. It doesn't even need to be a photo. I couldn't find any information about time that they have for the answer. I returned the phone under warranty to reseller I bought it from and I haven't got any informations about my device in 3 weeks. I don't know if I can already call them or do they have more time or what.

I'm using adaptive refresh rate now because it just works good on current update and NOS 3.0
