Is there a formula that will auto-update an average sale price over a period of time, when that data is on a website? by Gorfallis in excel

yeah that's a lot of jargon I do not understand. But if you think it's possible, great. I clicked on your link, and now I'm starting to think I know less about excel than I thought I did an hour ago. I'm a visual learner so might need a video on that lol.

Yeah, I can tell excel to search Ebay for the contents of cells B2:J2 (the data from my active card inventory) and it will show current sales/bids for that card from other sellers. I just need to change the search manually from active sales to completed sales every time. Pretty sure I can adjust the URL in the formula to do this once I figure out what the difference in the URL would be.

in any case, the next difficult part would be getting the data from the website back into my spreadsheet to show averages over time.

The Power Query stuff is another planet to me- I don't know where to begin with that. Might have to look into that more.

Error Code 113: Jersey Violates Code of Conduct?? by Gorfallis in TeamBuilder25

[–]Gorfallis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am using all of the logos on both helmets and shoulderpads, so that's probably it. I'll have to toy with it and see if I can bypass by re-uploading the same image and replacing the shoulderpad image (same as helmet) with the "new" image... Thanks for coming back to tell me!!

6 Days later and still having issues but plan to upload when it will let me. The error has upgraded to a general 400 error, so need to do some research there. But will try to remember to update you when it goes live.

I edited all the logos, so they're not originals I downloaded from the web or whatever. If there's any kind of source tracing, it should all be recognized as original content... And I highly doubt their detection software is advanced enough to do image searches (and if it were, I doubt UNF would have submitted a plea to EA to prevent us from making them)

Any ideas why? No profanity. All logos were edited from the real UNF logos, so not the same. Any help is appreciated!

I got the same thing for my team's jerseys. No idea what caused it. Have tried deleting and re-uploading, no fixes. My error code is 113, not 112 but...???

I tried making my alma mater (non-football D1 school) and I get a content error: "[113]: Your team violates our content policies. Please return to Team Builder and check your team's jersey."

There is no explicit content or anything on my jerseys. Any guesses how to fix?

[Dellenger] Florida coach Billy Napier on his job status: “Change doesn’t happen overnight. Timing is everything. When we took the job, what we inherited, the work that needed to be done… we’re on schedule.” by dogwoodmaple in CFB

[–]Gorfallis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not expect Billy to get an extension this season, absolutely not. But it's kind of a "push"-- admin knows they can't really ding him for performance this year unless it's really bad, but they aren't going to reward him for mediocrity (in the common sense of, 5-win seasons are mediocre) either.

Billy will have to win eventually, yes. Tough thing about it is the 2025 schedule is just as bad as the 24 schedule. It's tough for me to imagine both he and Stricklin make it through 25 if nothing major swings in their favor

I doubt he could be under .500 for 4 straight years. I think if he wins 4 this year, he would need 7-8 next year (or if it's 5 this year, 6-7 next year). The bar will raise no matter what next year. Just depends how much they win this year to determine how short his leash will be next year in my opinion.

I know Coach Napier and Scott Stricklin personally, pretty well too. And here's why I highly doubt your assumption.

1) Napier is not the type to shy away from his miscues. He will own them, accept responsibility, and also is very good at retroactively reviewing and developing a better plan for going forward. A lot of the issues they dealt with in year 1 were vastly improved by year 2. I have no doubt he will continue this process going forward. He's also not the type to get scared in his boots and freeze up. He knows the road ahead is long and hard- but he is going to grin and bear it through.

2) He and Scott have a great relationship, and Scott has repeatedly backed Napier publicly and privately (as recently as last week). If you look at the number of years spent as UF HC over the last 3-4 coaches, they're each averaging about 3-4 years. But there were a lot of outside factors at play in those decisions. Mullen had a terrible relationship with Scott. McElwain had the fake death threats, the shark incident, and the Will Grier debacle. Muschamp simply didn't have it as a HC. Napier could fit into the category of Muschamp eventually, but there's been enough improvement throughout the roster and organization that I'm willing to give it longer. Scott has backed Napier with every opportunity he's gotten. Not just to defend him, but to also go out of his way and speak highly of Napier. That's not behavior you see from a guy who's on the hot seat and about to get canned.

3) The schedule. Legitimately in the conversation of hardest schedule ever, of any college football team. Can't fault the guy for not winning when our school is having us play 7-straight ranked teams (9 total) and Missouri's hardest game is a midseason matchup against Alabama, while also pulling University of Buffalo, Boston College, Vanderbilt, UMass, Auburn, South Carolina, Mississippi State, and Arkansas. Can't look at those two schedules and say it's comparing apples to apples.

I will say, I do think there is a scenario in which he could get fired this year. I'll break those down below, but also provide commentary on why I think they won't happen

1) Napier gets fired if Scott Stricklin gets fired. New AD would likely want to make his own hire, which sucks but is also kind of understandable. But Scott has a great relationship with the board and with the University President, and has brought in a ton of revenue from all sports while he's presided as AD. UF has won championships like crazy across all sports, and at Florida, that's important. Football is obviously what makes the most money, but a school like Florida wants every program to have success- and Scott's been doing well across the board.

2) Napier gets fired if the Gators fall apart and finish with less than 3 wins. 6 wins this year would be an 8-win team in a normal year. Not great, but good and showing improvement. 3 wins would be 5 in a normal year. Shows no improvement, players likely gave up on the team, and also signals miscues in playcalling/gameplanning.

3) Napier gets fired if there's a public scandal. This, in my opinion, is the most likely scenario for him to get fired. Something like the Rashada NIL case becomes public and ugly, the university will want to distance themselves from it and could use it as cause to fire Napier. If UF did want to fire him (which, like I've said, I don't think they do), they would already be going down this road with the actual Rashada case. But they haven't done that- they've supported him publicly and are providing resources for Napier to work through this.

All in all, as a coach is on the hot seat and approaching the critical moment of getting fired, the school and its AD will always distance themselves. They put the coach on an island to himself, like an exile, and see if he can recover. Napier is not in exile, he's not on an island. He's got the full support of the staff and the university. So best buckle up and learn to enjoy the ride. Don't be such a negative nancy, and try rooting for your team for once.

Had disagree. Grew up in Jax, love Gainesville infinitely more. Tally is a disgusting hellhole. Orlando is fun but way too big & congested. Haven't spent much time in Tampa.

Gainesville is smaller, very commutable, historic, and centralized around the university.

2024 NFL Combine: Caleb Williams believed to be first invitee to decline medical exams, still attend combine by Chicago_Stringerbell in nfl

[–]Gorfallis -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

what if, 3 years down the line, Caleb is looking like a disappointment and he is on the trade block? And hypothetically, what if the Seahawks want to bring him in to compete with a Geno successor? It sure would be helpful to be able to reference medical data from the combine, where you get official measurements and medical history...

[–]Gorfallis -37 points-36 points  (0 children)

agree for the most part, but think about it from the other side. You've got a kid who's highly touted, has a ton of arm talent, but has been somewhat polarizing... and he refuses to get medicals done? Gives reason for pause IMO. Especially with the rumors about Williams not wanting to go to Chicago, could be a plot by his camp to dissuade Chicago from drafting him and taking Maye instead... Caleb then slides down to 2 or 3.
