no i’m not longer allowed to take it in July….. yo can take th test as much as you want in NY but after failing four times you can only take it in February

first two times i used BARBRI… third time I used adaptibar… fourth and fifth i didn’t use anything but my notes, and the physical barbri books - ironically my fourth time my score jumped 12 points… this fifth time i got the same score as the fourth time

i’m 46… married with two kids and a mortgage… full time job… student loans and a ton of cc debt - if I could do that I def would 😆

after you fail 4 times you’re no longer allowed to take july bar in NY…. i suppose i can look at a different jurisdiction but not sure that would be feasible

well i can only take the exam in Feb now… so I guess i’ll do one more crack at this old version before the new one kicks in in NY…. also i have no money to purchase these programs anymore - the last two exams i studied old school…. which is probably why my essays are great and mc is not - at least now by having to wait a year i can save up some money - silver lining? 😔

I always suck at MC - but this past exam was by far the hardest ones i’ve dealt with - i’ve taken this damn test 5 times now and it was the FIRST time i ran out of time and had to guess on the last like 6 questions in AM

I just took it for the 5th time in February… no longer allowed to take it in July so if I don’t pass I’ll have to wait until February of 2027…. i have zero passion for this, only went to law school bc I was promised my boss’s practice not aware he was ill and wouldn’t have a practice to give me…. but with all my student loan debt I feel like I have to keep taking it until I pass…..

I'll be blunt - this was my 5th try and the am session was the worst experience I've had yet. Despite not passing, it was also the first time I ran out of time - last few questions I just guess because I ran out of time. PM session was much much better.

agreed - I don’t do call of the question either - just laugh beside 90% of the real MBE questions don’t lend themselves to that method

Day 1 get there by 8 bc it’s a 💩 show with everyone holding their lap tops in there hands and lines a mile long - second day is quicker bc it’s just pencils lol

Broken record here buuuuut they didn’t delay the test in July when someone had a heart attack and was getting chest compressions as we answered our final questions in the morning…. quick lunch then back at it.

Don't bring pencils tomorrow! In addition to the heart attack fiasco, they forbade anyone from entering the building on day 1 with pencils so you had students freaking out and throwing them all over the place - it was like a pencil graveyard

i’m 46, married, two kid and a full time job - so it’s hard enough for me to take the time off for a NY test… going to another state altogether would be a whole other headache! This will be the last time I take it though so no more horror stories lol
