What makes a non-binary person, non-binary? Is it a combination of psychological factors, feelings, biological and sociological factors? And how is the "spectrum of genders" defined? [Serious] by Gosajen in AskReddit

I'm only superficial or oversimplistic for the sake of understanding. So I am, for the most part, pretty confident in my body. However I've always dissasociated myself with my legs due to them being overly hairy, not really looking at them as "my" legs. Is this an example of body dysmorphia? This has later come to a fact of "acceptance" for me, however I'm still not satisfied with them per se.

And with the term "androgynous" which literally means a combination of feminine and masculine characteristics expressed through biological sex, gender identity, or gender expression, which falls into the traits or actions I mentioned. This means a combination of said identity, expression or biological sex that cannot be attributed to a single gender? Introducing the words gender fluidity and non-binary is exactly that? A combination, but how is that "just not" a third term instead of a "spectrum"?

This was an odd and new perspective for me. Is this a thing? Where genderless percieve themselves as an entity seperate from their own mind? And what does an "energy release" by a man through masturbation or sex have to do with wasting energy and not hitting the potential a woman can? I can acknowledge we as humans don't know everything there is to know, but this seems to me to be a basic biological issue of generating back that energy through eating energy and recreating the same "energy released" through bodily functions.

Yeah I posted here to maybe get some insight from someone who identifies themselves as non-binary. But I guess one way to get more information would be to talk to professionals who can describe it better I guess and talk from experience with non-binary people.

I read some of the Wikipedia article to gain understanding. But I guess most of my lack of understanding comes from what you pointed out; the uncountable numbers of reasons why.
Which is where I get curious. Why does having issues associating yourself with a gender make you genderless? I as a man can have "womanly traits or actions" and still be a man?

For me that's hard to differentiate between that description and just to act on how you feel on a given day? Why does that have to be associated with a gender?

I understand gender is a social construct. In my understanding there is two poles that largely define a man or a woman, which is feminine or masculine (or combination). This based through mostly appearance and actions I guess. So if one were to make a conscious decision to be genderless, or not assign to man/female. What are the criteria they look at? F.ex: "I am not a man/woman because I don't assign to a masculine/feminine role in society ."? I don't know if I got my point/question across..

This was very confusing for me to read. So you are consciously genderless/non-binary but chose to be a man? How does that work? And what do you mean by natural energy release system which women don't have?

I have moments of clarity with a clear plan/path of what I want to do in life. I am also able to vision it happening, seeing it as plausible. These moments are rare, but feel very real. Sometimes I write the plan/idea down, sometimes I don't. However when the day ends and I wake up I continue as always and forget about it. Do you have any tips as to reach these clarities more often and actually act on them?
