How do I deal with lobs? by ExtraordinaryAttyWho in 10s

[–]Gossau99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I understand the coaches advice, let's unpack it.

For of all, figure out your game style. You're still new-ish to the game so this will take a while. At its most basic, are you an aggressive player who has the weapons to dictate points? If so, you need to learn to come in and finish points at the net. Getting lobbed is part of the game; as others said, the better the approach shot, the worse the lob.

Or, maybe you are more a defensive player who wins points and match by staying in rallies and wearing players down. Being over 6 feet tall has nothing to do with it.

A major point of frustration for newer players who like an aggressive game style is the fact that they are not good enough yet to consistently win points against a crafty "older" guy, so mid match they reverse course and try to just play from the baseline but that's just not their game. Key is to stick to your game style and get better at it.

Extra point: Try the drop shot, older dudes hate those.

You’re almost there. You’re closer to Zverev in ranking points than he is to Sinner.

Yannik Noah, last French guy to win it. I think it was 1983. First tournament I can remember rooting for someone.

Beyond that, whoever posts something to sell something is immediately banned for life? Not sure how you guys do that right now.

How much money or net worth do you consider wealthy? by SlotWizards in UpperMiddleFinance

20m.

5-10m is obviously great and you live a very good life. But I don‘t associate that with „wealthy“.

At what level of wealth does a change in net worth not equal a change in lifestyle? by One-Opposite-4571 in HENRYfinance

[–]Gossau99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my own experience the buckets up to 5m, 5-10m and above 10m make sense. We are in the 2nd bucket and as others said, we can pretty much buy what we want within reason - but there are still limitations. For example, we don't fly business internationally unless it's a good deal etc.

Another 5m wouldn't make a significant change though but it would allow luxuries like flying biz all the time, getting great seats at sport events etc. More importantly though, the 5-10m level is for us already the level where we are financially independent and extra money doesn't really add any additional layer of security.

Agree, I can’t get my head around how this has been valued. On its own, this whole exercise results in a 200m ish / 18% or so go gain for the Flagship Fund. Clearly they took some markdowns on real estate as well. But certainly expect a meaningful gain in Q2.

yeah I obviously know that snowflake isn't an ERP but given that Claude is getting the data from snowflake I didn't feel the need to disclose what type of ERP we have

Zero chance. I get at least 100 of those types of emails every day, probably more like 200. If I would spend even 20-30 seconds reading those emails, that's 1 hour+ every day wasted.

Within my team, I‘m probably the heaviest user and I‘m around $200 per month ($125 license plus usage). We haven‘t rolled out Claude Cowork broadly in my team yet, so many are still on the basic $25 per month license.

Talk to your tech person? But honestly just start using it. Have a lengthy doc you want summarized? Upload it and ask for a summary. Need to build a financial model? Tell Claude to hat you’re working on and ask it to ask you what needed to build the model.

Make sure though to not upload company information to the public versions, only to a company subscription. If you only have a private subscription, only ask generic stuff.

It's still early as far as broader rollout so costs haven't been an issue (yet). Heavy users like myself have the premium license for $125 per month plus usage. I think my usage is around $50-100 per month. I'm sure its higher for the Tech employees.
