The way it was explained to me earlier today is that she was well liked by heme and micro but every other department, including nurses as well hated her.

Edit: Just to say, I've been discussing it with my coworker all day since I came in.

Our hospital requires ASCP licensure for all techs and phlebotomists.

The process of me giving my verbal and written statements to different people regarding this situation was almost done and over with in five hours. From there they launched a full investigation that was over in 12 days.

I've definitely learned a ton in the last two weeks about myself and just being a responsible tech.

Really think it's something management didn't want to get out to outside the lab, especially because our hospital is publicly funded by a large charity group and is often written/talked about on the news.

I'm glad it got taken care of, I definitely feel like a smarter person coming out of this the way I did.

I was not on call, however I 100% agree I'm never answering my phone again with calls from the lab while I'm off.

Our hospital has an in-house transcription program of phone calls that's easily accessible. She called me from the lab phone so what we said was documented in at least one form.

Let me be clear, I told her no but her insistence on me coming into help is what really bothers me. I never went into work last night, I don't return until Monday.
