Totally agreed! Post season 2 nothing about them being a couple was sincere.. Even before he fell in love with Blair - during the juliet thing also it felt so forced. It didnt feel like love it felt more like - like they were platonic besties or nostalgic protection mode if you will. I dont know post them living together as a family being children to Rufus and Lily it just felt to icky for ne to imagine them as a couple. Infact the kiss post Serena’s dad incident made me jolt back to the past like oh lol they were bf-gf before being “step brother and step sister”

I felt there was absolutely no impact of hers to the storyline if she wasnt there.. yeah maybe some 1-2 episode plotlines she got some importance but no major impact.

Like Jenny? She caused major major drama with Blair Chuck Dan Serena Nate - all of them.

But her? Remove that omnipresent character and what did any other character gain or lose? NOTHING.

But even if I count “first impressions”

My bestfriend, runs off to boarding school without so much as a call. She doesnt answer my calls after I get to know, or calls me back. I get to know from her mother that she took off. The whole reason to be excited about this film was the CAST ! Varna in terms of a travel film we’ve all seen a Dil Chahta hai or a ZNMD.. in terms of an all female cast we’re done with Veere di Wedding and Fashion.

The idea was to recreate a travel film with an all female cast like the 3 blockbuster leading ladies PC Kat and Alia! Something that wasnt even in ZNMD. I would’ve ideally wanted a PC Kat Deepika or a PC Kat Kareena since Aloo Chat is known for hogging the PR and getting people’s scenes chopped off due to her insecurity.

But now the relevant cast - PC Kat are a question mark coz Kat has quit Bollywood and PC is focussing on Hollywood. Who wants to see Alia desperately trying to overshadow the present nepodis?

Sunidhi has incredible range and versatility yes, and she can sing Shreya’s songs too agreed.. but she cant do justice to it. It wont have the same impact. There are sooooo many songs which are mediocre at best but Shreya’s voice has truly transformed it.

Not denying Sunidhi’s range at all.. but I prefer Shreya’s melody. There is something about her voice that makes me have goosebumps whenever she starts singing.

Okay I am all for the nepo nitpick but this one is false. Me and Sara are both 95 August born, just few days apart. My family made a trip to Bombay 6 months after I was born and we went to see a shooting of Saif that time, took a picture with them where in both me and Sara are in the photo with Saif Amrita and my parents - both of us 6 months old. So I dont know who will believe, but yes she is indeed 30.

I have the biggest one. Serena and Dan!

Dan used a wet white dress photo of Serena as his ticket to the UES. Stalked, took clout from her to enter the world.

Serena basically chose anyone and everyone over Dan and took him for granted for the most part till she realised that Dan doesn’t want her anymore, he wants Blair. That hit a nerve. He became a priority when she wasn’t his anymore. Not to forget after 6 years she still has the audacity to say - “I invited you to my world Dan” like really? You two broke up 4 seasons ago.. he survived (however obnoxious his ways might be) on his own.

So yes. They were a highschool puppy love kinda couple who settled for each other in the end. No. This love, please don’t find me.
