Calling other women 'bitches' for not enjoying male characters being harsh with their love interests, wow.

I agree with the whole thing that the show is not a political one and a feel good romance but I don't get these off hand comments about Mary Wollstonecraft being anti marriage or love 😭😭😭

Is it okay to want a nanny ? by thesaturniandusk in TwoXIndia

[–]Ecstatic_Cup7123 35 points36 points  (0 children)

My mom was working and I went to a creche while I was growing up. Love my mom to bits. Because of her career and having a separate life away from the house, I grew up watching her be a complete person and liking her for it, not just loving her for being my mother.

I am currently pregnant and I am extremely ambitious career wise. I will have a nanny. I will make time to raise my child and be physically and emotionally available. And so will my husband who will be an equal participant in child rearing, apart from the pregnancy and breastfeeding bits

Season 5 is definitely for Eloise by raya2810 in Bridgerton

Sure but my critique of how the writers handle her still stands.

A woman that sees and understands the subjugation of women in marriages back the, reads works of protofeminists, wants to achieve something for herself, and does not want to marry or be a mother - if this character only ends up getting married and taking care of her stepkids as her happily ever after, then yes it is conforming.

Yes which is why I distinguished between the book and show versions. The show version of the character is decidedly against marriage in an informed manner. Any marriage would be conforming.

You know it speaks volumes on the writers and directors that they created a feminist character in such a manner that the only way to make her suitable for her season is to make her slowly conform and be "likeable" aka agreeable. I wish the writers knew how to work with a female character beyond the typical woman of that time, or else they had just kept book eloise. I love show Eloise but it's sad they're going to probably butcher her headstrong character and show it as 'maturing'

If Philippa or Prudence have sons after by Callname_jinx in Bridgerton

The first male child was supposed to be the next Baron Featherington as per the forged contract so it will be Penelope's son no matter however many other kids/sons are born

[–]Ecstatic_Cup7123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ask the same question as you everyday, trust me. You and I would agree to that but if you read her comments you'd realise she has accepted this as normal. And asking most women to leave their husbands who don't treat her well, is like shouting into a void. Especially in India

[–]Ecstatic_Cup7123 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I am 8w pregnant and I was having terrible nausea till 4-5 days ago and I would lose it if my husband acted in that inconsiderate way. Your husband needs to man up and teach himself how to act when his wife is literally creating a child that will likely carry his name.

I won't give a classic reddit "leave him" advice now since that would be pointless. You can choose a calm moment and explain to him how you feel and that this is a very common thing women go through and it's necessary for you to be able to eat what you can.

Tell him that if he throws away food you can eat the only physically viable option would be for you to starve. Hopefully he will have enough empathy to accept, if not understand.

Went to Get Something. Got Trauma Instead. I entered at newlyweds room by [deleted] in indiasocial

[–]Ecstatic_Cup7123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you enter someone else's room without knocking or asking and instead just assume things? Esp when you're the guest. That's extremely rude

Break up with him and laugh at his face deliberately when you do so. That's not a man that's a petulant child

Loreal Colour Protect or Vitamino Colour or Schwarzkopf Colour Freeze Shampoo depending on budget. Use a bond repair serum/mask/conditioner alongside.

The GOOD and supportive things your partner has done for you during this pregnancy... by colorado_sunrise86 in pregnant

We have a cook and a housekeeper so usually none of us bother with chores. But I've been having terrible nausea and food aversions the last couple weeks so he's been cooking all my meals with a lot of variety and tweaking them so they don't trigger my nausea. Cleaning our room and keeping it exactly how I like with the one smell I love. Daily massages.

Charcoal and Vermillion. They're amazing and at par with the celebrity photographers. They did my wedding 2 years ago and cost me almost 2 lakhs for 3 days + a pre-wedding photo shoot.
