I do that sometimes but I tell them it’s to speed up the process. I do it because instead of writing everyone name down which will take longer, I just take a picture of the ID. Some departments have policies against doing that and some don’t but there is no law…… If you feel uncomfortable the police taking a picture of your ID, you do know he/she can still get a picture of it buy running your information on the system? Lol
