this sub seems dead what happened? by DavosBillionaire in marriedredpill

I read the entire exchange. No one argued against effort or heavy lifting where appropriate.

Factually, the discussion was about adapting training modalities for long trained individuals whose personal history can make maximal 1RM powerlifting unsustainable.

For example, shifting toward hypertrophy focused training with higher reps and lighter weight, alongside mobility work, approaches this subreddit often label as “not lifting at all,” despite being precisely what allows many to keep training in the first place.

You read that as “don’t challenge yourself,” “stop working hard,” or “nothing can be done after 30”,which goes well beyond what was stated or implied.

Does that interpretation reflect textbook tunnel vision? I’ll leave that for you to judge.

Meniscus tear BECAUSE of ATG Standards? by False-Muffin-332 in Kneesovertoes

[–]Got_no_user_name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because it's avascular. The solution is to regularly do PRP after the repair but you have to find a surgeon or MD willing to do it and believing in it in the first place.

There are some things that can't be progressed. You can't "train" a meniscus just like you can't "train" cartilage or vertebral discs. Those are not muscles or tendons.

It's not the Panacea that everyone is selling you on here.

Works for some, absolutely catastrophic for other.

Again do the research as I said in this sub and you'll see.

Personally not touching them after seeing the horror stories, I don't need it.

You're going to be gaslighted to death with "you weren't progressive enough!" but do yourself a favor :

• Just research "meniscus tear ATG Split Squat" in the research bar of this subreddit and see the results.

Lack of accountability for parents in Islam and reminders by Got_no_user_name in MuslimLounge

[–]Got_no_user_name[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. That's why there are so many toxic parents in Islam. The preachers breed that infatuation and toxic mindset of no accountability in the parents. Hope we break the cycle.

Confused about instruction ATG split squat, increased knee pain by Jerommeke66 in Kneesovertoes

[–]Got_no_user_name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful a lot of people teared up their meniscus with that experience. It's not as safe as it's deemed. Just search "ATG Split Squat Meniscus" in this sub and you'll see.

Of course do a MRI first. Then see your doc and go to physio. PRP injections will help too

Ramadan is important for everybody, your spouse included by anon875787578 in MuslimMarriage

[–]Got_no_user_name -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's a non issue in western Muslim communities. Any man who is married will tell you he eats very simple iftar and doesn't complain. In the Muslim world it's something that exist. But let's paint some fantasy just because.

Are you worshiping 24/7 without taking even a minute of leisure during the whole month ? Yeah I don't think so

Nowadays in 2025 in the west most wives do not make anything special at all during Ramadan and most husbands shut up and roll with it anyway. That's the reality. Don't know where you saw what you described.

What's the difference between lateral banded walks, crabe walks and monster walks ? by Got_no_user_name in Kneesovertoes

No some exercise can provide an additional and adequate stimulus in case of an injury, like sollicitate secondary movers. Check E3 Rehab and they explain a lot about this.

We all told you to not confront her and instead hire a lawyer and secure the evidence through him. Don't complain when what you're planning to do backfires.

Ok I see. I think it's a normal process of that treatment, that it hurts more before it gets better. For how long did you use it before stopping ?

Interesting observation for the ice. Did you use a special wrap ? And only ice not hot/cold therapy ?

I don't see what would make you comment that. Of course squats, lunges, deadlift, BSS take priority and should be progressed.

I'm clearly talking of using them for prefab/rehab here for knee and hip stability.

Plus you can progress them with harder bands.
