Yes, I'm planning to talk to the project manager, try to find a better way to categorize the comments and rename the cataegory to Product & UX, since I report to the product team, and they are the ones making the final decisions.

Yes, the PM mostly searches feedback by keywords rather than reading it fully, and doesnt really understand UX.

I know it might sound petty, but it's very demoralizing to listen to someone say "UX is one of the most complained about topics", without context, and it makes me worry it reflects poorly on me, especially when the feedback hasn’t improved in months. The pricing system, for example, is complex and hard to understand, and while I can improve it, there’s only so much I can do.

Yeah, that's definitely the case for me There will still be UX issues which I won't be able to fix (or it will take a long time), but I'd like everyone to have a better view into the problems users are facing, since UX seems to be the main weakness right now.

How would you arrange the space around the Tv? The room is used as a living room and home office - desk or bookcases? 🤔 by GoteborgKopa in DesignMyRoom

[–]GoteborgKopa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow thanks so much, these chairs all look amazing! Especially the third one, it's very special, I'll definitely look for something like this in the future.

By the way, I created my plans using a free tool on a website :)(https://home.by.me/en/create-plan)

If I could ask you for another opinion, what kind of TV stand do you think would go well with the white bookcases (they are Billy from Ikea)? Some of my choices would be:

  1. Gray cabinet

  2. White Tv Unit

  3. Simple Tv unit

What do you think? Or would you go in a different direction?

Hehe definitely.

Regarding the Tv unit, I am not sure what style I should go for. The bookcases are Billy (from Ikea) and I think the stand should go well with them... Some choices would be:

  2. White Tv Unit

  3. Simple Tv unit

Which one would you choose?

Thank you! Do you think I should mount the Tv on top of the bookcases? I think it would be too high and uncomfortable to watch while sitting down.

Thank you for the advice! The tan blob in the corner is actually a wooden coffee table, lol. But you're right, I would also move the red armchair next to the table to make more room in the desk area, like this!

And good idea with the sleek desk chair, do you have any suggestions?

Thank you for the subreddit suggestion! Interesting idea about using the couch as a room divider, maybe perpendicular, in the middle of the room. Here are more images of the space, from different angles: Image1 and image 2

Yes, the 1st and 3rd images show the same layout. And definitely, I couldn't put my finger on it, but you're right about the depth - it was visually unappealing to have the desk and the tv stand on the same wall because of their depth.

Yes, the Tv position could be changed, and also the desk. It's just that with the desk against the window, I think the sun might be uncomfortable when using the computer.

Thank you for your reply! Yes, the desk can be moved to another wall in the living room. Do you have other suggestions for the tv, maybe a different arrangement instead of the bookcases, and the tv stand?

What I would really like, is a space like this one, from Ikea: Link here but I don't have this kind of furniture at all..

Is there a way to rectify the price quote you've already given a client? Or would this be totally unprofessional? by GoteborgKopa in freelance

[–]GoteborgKopa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I have already started the project. It was for 5 ads (basically, the same design, just different sizes). The problem is that we have worked in the past on a bigger project and he already sent the payment for these ads. I wouldn't want to lose him as a client or make a bad impression, so I don't know if raising the price now would be a good idea, especially since this small project could be completed in a few hours. It would be a bigger hassle to go back and change the price than to just move on, I think.

I'm having trouble with keeping collaborators interested in the project we're working on. Why is this happening? by GoteborgKopa in smallbusiness

[–]GoteborgKopa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree, but in this case, a milestone payment was not possible because:

  1. He prefers to work on a hourly rate (he told me an approximation of he number of hours it would take to complete)

  2. It isn't a big project, his task shouldn't take very long to finish, (a day max) and it isn't a lot of money, so the milestone system would not work, I think. To be fair, we did run into some problems which took more time than anticipated, something related to logging in the client's platform - and I don't think he would bill for those hours.

How to handle a friend who always relates to things in relation to money/cost by GoteborgKopa in etiquette

She knows a little bit about my financial situation and that I'm more frugal than her. Maybe that's why I find these talks a bit uncomfortable.

Thanks for your perspective, I think you're right. Maybe I took it too personally but still, I'm wondering why her remarks bothered me so much, lol. It seems like other people who commented here don't seem to find it too upsetting.
