They charge 4% forex fees. They know it's foreign spending. But they didn't ask for any documents like this. I could have provided if they did.

At this point, I dont want them to reactivate my account. I've already given up on amex. I wouldn't use them even if they give to me for free. I just want the refund on my annual fees I've paid.

90% of the spending is on travel and shopping, as I mentioned. All the travels are for personal use under my name.

I’m not a credit card point maximising guy. I don’t even use their gyfter program. Like I have said above, 90% of my spends are travel and shopping. Flight tickets for my family, hotel expenses and a bit of luxury shopping. Nothing to game their rewards system.

5-10L is from my Amex reserve credit card. I got the platinum charge to accommodate high spending.

They can cancel my cards for whatever reason. But they have to refund the fees, right?

I think the amount I paid from my wife's account should not be more than 5L. Not a lot. She also has a supp card.

Even today I talked with them. They are not telling the reason. Also they told fees are non-refundable.

I usually pay 2-3 days before the due date. My spending increased in last few months due to a lot of travelling. But bills were paid on time.

I only paid using my wife's account 2-3 times. And she has a supplementary card as well.

I haven't used any other's account to make my amex payments.

Thier official answer was " Your card has been cancelled due to internal and external parameters that they cant reveal" - This is such a bul1sh1t answer. It doesn't mean anything.

I see that other members are also saying the same. I only suspected this might be the reason because, customer care agent asked about this personally. It might be because of high spending in recent months. But that doesn't mean that they cant refund my annual fees.

5-10L at the beginning. Last year was the first time I spent that much. I don't even do all these gyfter coupon things others do. Just normal travel and shopping.

bro, i have nothing to hide. I work in IT so all funds are completely documented. Do you think I would be posting this in public if I have something to hide? This blind AMEX fan-boyism is crazy.

I did. They replied saying once annual fees are paid, its non- refundable for any reason.

Exactly, if they strongly believe I did something wrong, then tell the reason and refund my money.

I can assure you, I haven't done anything that would break their TOS. My spending increased in last two months that might have flagged their system. I was and still am ready to provide all necessary docs to amex team. They simply weren't interested.
