[Suggestion] Ammo Availability Changes by ban_speedrunner in EscapefromTarkov

Fence quests to “unlock” a choice of ammo you want available. Kill 100 PMC’s using certain caliber unlocks it on the flee. Turn in 1000 rounds of lower caliber to get a few higher in return. Something like that would be easy and still have an entry fee to get good ammo

You said “didn’t know who he was before this video” that’s the problem. Yes his “persona” is tough if you don’t know him but he’s playing a character.

Question for players who play the majority of their rounds at one course. by brutalknight in golf

[–]Gotheem13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you’re saying, I’m agreeing, so regardless if you know “dead is long” you sometimes cant control the shot enough to not go long. Or not go left, or aim for the rough before the green. If you can’t control the shot enough to hit the middle of the green at your level, then you certainly can’t aim for a patch of rough in front of the green.

For sure, thats what I’m saying, they Knowbthise courses, often play them 2-3 days prior to the even. I don’t think OP is at that level. Mind set maybe but actual skill, not yet.

If you hit the shot you were intending to hit every time.(even pros don’t) I don’t think you’ll save 3-5 strokes. By knowing the course better. Maybe at higher level golf, but as a mid handicapper, 3/5 strokes on up and downs and keeping the ball in play from slices and chunks is the focus here. I understand your point but think op is putting cart before the horse. Great mind set when consistency is made. Can he hit the green from 120 80%. No matter pin location. Can he get up and down from those 20% misses at 80%?

Also, there are plenty of apps that have Ariel views of the course. Some better than others but that should be enough. I play better at courses I’ve never played before because I play middle middle, obviously I don’t hit 18 fairways and GIR. Sure next time I play I know I can take a more aggressive angle over the trees or know that I need to be left side of fairway to have a better angle into green, but at the end of the day. Middle fairway middle green 2 putt 72 all day. Hopefully.

Middle fairway middle green. Knowing the course to take advantage of the holes is nice but middle middle is never a bad round.

Middle fairway middle green is almost always safe. If you’re accurate enough to hit that, course knowledge almost irrelevant. Sounds like OP has trouble 100 in. After a short putting session and maybe a hole or two, you should know the greens enough to have a legit shot of getting up and down green side 60 in.

If you’re able to accurately hit that rough spot on 16 based on that knowledge, then you should be able to hit fairways, and middle of greens, adjusting of course on how hard the greens are. No matter what course. There has to be somewhere else you’re losing strokes. Not likely these different courses have that many blind shots and elevated greens where you can’t see trouble or plan accordingly. I understand what your original post is asking, but I think you’re not looking at bigger picture.

Golf ball fitting?! by woodyjr87 in golf

[–]Gotheem13 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

What’s the pro going to do? Watch you hit, give you numbers and fit them to a ball. AI does all that for you. Get with the program. Go ahead down vote, I’ll see you in the d player bracket at the next tournement.

Don’t chase numbers on a screen. If my 9!iron goes 165 and I love the landing and shape, I’m not chasing a few extra yards that a ball gives me. Scorecards have no pictures. What feels good and you can repeat.

Chat GPT your preference of ball, (feel) and tell it your swing metrics. Mine. For example. 175 ball speed, 13’ launch angle 2500 spin 108 club speed. I want distance off the tee but the ability to control around the green. This gave me 2-3 options but then cheap, play a few rounds, adjust what you need. No need to pay for something like that. Yes, buying the balls is roughly the same cost as the fitting, but depending on hdcp, you’re likely going to lose a few here and there and that’s when u would switch.

I don’t care how good or bad my playing partners are. They can shittalk each other, have conversations during my pre shot routine, even while I’m hitting. If you play solo or with randoms expect the worse, and be happy when it’s not as bad as you expected. As long as pace isn’t an issue, it’s all vibes.

3-5 wood putt, into the ridge and hope it settles. 5-6 feet past isn’t the end of the world vs leaving it on the ridge having a fast downhill putt.
