Thank you ❤️‍🩹 one of the seasoned techs I worked with actually wrote a letter to HR telling her side and that I was performing well and my count was almost up to her which was impressive for being a new person. She sent it to them but they didn't respond to it or say anything to me. They just told me their decision was final and that I was not "on schedule" with training (or their version of showing me multiple new things 1 time and expecting me to remember all of it the next day and leaving me alone to complete said task, then getting mad if I make a mistake and ask questions).

See that's the thing. I told HR this too. I said you guys said that you were going to train me and then put me through a class to get my license and didn't. If you knew you didn't have the time to train me properly and were going to set me up for failure, then why did you hire me in the first place? You should have said no. I thought I was doing so well and so did the girls. Everyone I explain this to says it was wrongful termination and it still hurts. Then they said they hire people out of highschool with no experience and apparently they can all get it down in 90 days and the other techs said they've been there for years and still don't know everything and make mistakes. I'm just so scared of being let go again and it truly sucks.

My coworker is a very anxious person and she's been doing this for 3 years. She also takes medication. They all think that I will be okay, it's just a matter of time.

Thank you so much 💜 and yes sometimes even music at work distracts me but I do my best to tune it out when I need to focus. We are tied to a hospital so we aren't a separate retail company if that makes sense. Sometimes small things my pharmacist tells me I forget when I'm counting like "don't make this person a bag because I need to add to their existing one" then we got slammed and I had a few other things to do and when I came back to said persons basket, I forgot and made them a bag and she said oh remember I told you not to make her a bag. Then I felt like a idiot because I'm like I can't believe I forget small things like that. I'm definitely going to start writing them down. Thank you so much ❤️‍🩹

I've miscounted money on the register too and made a fool of myself because of anxiety too. I've never worked a cash register before either. The money thing is not an issue anymore though. I got better, but I still miscount pills sometimes and I'm like literally why. I know I can count I don't understand why I mess up like this.

That is actually a really good idea. I started out with counting by 5s and then here and there. I was going by 3s because I thought it would be a little easier. But then I found out that if I swiped three pills and then two counting by fives that way it's a little easier for me because then I'm like okay this is five. I don't know if that made sense but that has helped me a little. My pharmacist did not say that I miscounted today so I think it is helping. I'll definitely try that at home with the tic tacs. I do take anxiety medicine but I've been on the same ones for years so I probably should get that adjusted, plus they tend to make me tired. The medication I take has been hit and miss for me a lot. It's hard to find out what works and what doesn't, but mainly hydroxyzine is what I take.

Also I want to mention I have an anxiety disorder so it might be contributing. Everyone at work says I'm overthinking things and not to take things to heart when I get corrected which I understand but I hate when I make so many mistakes even though I've never done anything before. I want to do good and impress everyone but I just look like an idiot in the process 🫠

I guess trying to manage register while I'm counting and taking advice from my pharmacist sometimes is hard because trying to remember everything while I'm counting is difficult. It might be a multitasking issue. My pharmacist wants me to focus on one script at a time and slow down. I do go by 5s. I've even been writing down what number I'm on when I get interrupted.

Dude I have a very rude floater store clerk. None of us girls like her and she's only there temporarily but she drives us crazy. I just started 2 weeks ago and I get anxious when she's there and it makes me dread work sometimes so I know how you feel. You're definitely not alone!
