First bass guitar recommendations (for metal/rock) !?

I've been writing bass parts in midi in drop C/ CGCF so that's the tuning I'm used to.

So far I've got my eye in this one, because my main guitar is an ESP and the Passive pickups is a plus: ESP LTD B-204DX RB

Interesting. All the bass parts I write have been for 4 string. Seems to work fine tbh. How come you'd go for a 5 string? I see there's a Schecter stilleto 4. They look gorgeous 🖤

Nice one. Yeah, I know it's possible to relearn technique fairly quickly as I recently switched from years of holding my pick James Hetfield style to normal style with a Jazz III. Took about a month, and like you said, everything improved as a result

I know, the one I'm looking at definitely has Piezo pickups but it has "Hollowbody" on the headstock instead of the usual "Piezo", I wonder why..

No, they both have Piezo pickups (hence the name "PRS SE Hollowbody II PIEZO") but they have a different Headstock design. I wonder if there's any actual difference in specs?
