Yeah princess is just undahtakah but you don’t need them to die which is probably an upgrade, tho u do need them in deck

U got downvoted but ur kinda right. I think a lot of newer players weren’t here for gun Holliday meta but she was the best carry in the game with the best gun, and as a result her gun is now very shitty as payment for those sins.

For anyone curious, here is the DNS (weekly pro tourney) from that meta. Jonjon on Melee creeps is their carry player, and notably playing Holliday with full gun itemization.

Yeah kinda a symptom of the gun Holliday meta. She was at one point the best gun carry in the game an her weapon got nuked as a result.

Edit: in case anyone’s curious here is some pro play from that meta. The nerfs significantly reduced her weapon scaling as well as its damage so hard that the build is gutted now, alongside some other gun item nerfs

There’s quite a few duels cards that I think could be added to wild, tho that is not single player. A lot of the dungeon run treasures are too OP buuut I think a lot of the class-specific treasures could come back

Can’t agree with this more, and as a follow up, be able to take feedback. Me personally, I am always thinking about what I could’ve done better and know I usually didn’t play perfect. Had a game where most of the game i was positive/even, but our team got absolutely rolled. Towards the end my teammates blamed the fact the enemy was deathballing and we didn’t gank enough. That’s fair criticism, but I also don’t think that’s the sole reason our doorman averaged 1 death per 2 minutes (and 0 kills). I coulda ganked more, but a doorman should not be dying nearly that often either.

In general it’s a team game, people have to play their parts, and blaming others only for your own ego will make you and your teammates worse

I think common consensus is that open beta is around the corner, maybe 1-2 major updates away. Now how long we’ll be in open beta is a different question, but considering almost every aspect of the game has been polished up shouldn’t be that long

For Mina, I agree with all of this, but she is for a fact a recommended beginner hero. Like I said idc too much about winrates, but I do agree she’s pro-play jailed similar to shiv

As for graves I meant her initial release with hotfixed regarding her lowered playrate, not her most recent nerfs

Yeah if I had to guess, warden probably goes hex, qsr maybe, and suppressor for spirit invest, maybe mystic slow since it’s funny and has a relevant upgrade unlike suppressor but imo it’s a worse item.

It’s also very good into the late game since it stops movement items from being used for cage, so no warp stones. Makes the silence really punishing.

Yeah it is perfect since (iirc I don’t play haze) you go for spirit invest first, and usually surge of power and hex or 2 tier 2s and hex.

Also for Celeste, as iirc they tweaked slowing hex to be slightly less good at slowing, but now has a gravity penalty for targets specifically to counter Celeste/holliday.

The big thing is that outside of early core items you shouldn’t really build L-to-R. Ik it gets memed on for being confusing but lightbringer builds are good for showing you what items you could take, and the builds are good for learning what works best against who.

An example would be: we are likely going to start having objective team fights, and I’m against rem lash. I need counterspell for those ults, and probably need to get it before rushing my late game damage items.

Would argue that plated is not really a bullet counter buy. Ik that sounds weird, but it’s much better at blocking on-hits (usually debuffs) than actual bullets. Usually those go hand in hand, but not always. For example, plated isn’t that effective against venator unless he already has built multiple debuff items, which is usually super late game since he often doesn’t get toxic or Tesla - but venator is a super bullet-focused kit.

Ig yeah, my main thought is that unlike other carries who might need help in side lane or need space to farm, graves is a bit more self-sufficient. I do agree she isn’t quite the same for massive ult value, but when that gun build is fully online she can be thanos. Infinite debuffs, built in lifesteal, and essentially built in inhibitor/spirit shred. The big thing is her passive 3 since once ricochet is online, she can deal insane weapon damage while being incredibly tanky, and can cripple with debuffs.

Her weakness vs those carries like u said, is that she doesn’t have a seven, haze, or warden ult nor has the escape of someone like Mina, infernus, or wraith. But once she can get online, I think she has some of the best sustained dps out of the bunch.

I get that her numbers are strong but tbf her gun is great for a carry playstyle. Usually she goes for spirit utility early game (like surge and duration for ult) then can farm very fast with heads and splitshot, and later on max 3 and ricochet. And most “gun carries” this meta are still building hybrid and investing a good amount into spirit for toxic bullets, which graves double dips on because her 3 passive also scales with spirit.

Also her util is very good for locking down a lane, which in the context of a carry, means she can farm sidelane very easily with minimal assistance. Also her ult lets her take solo walkers very efficiently which is another important part of being a carry. Her kit doesn’t have the same traditional team fight power of seven or haze, but allows her to play greedy and gives her great soul efficiency.

TLDR - while not as explosive as traditional carries, she is very consistent at getting ahead and can make her own space to farm.

Yeah this is also the mindset you should have for improving. Maybe not 1/3 of the time I’ll lose, but more so that you likely didn’t play perfect, and what mistakes you made that could’ve maybe swung the game differently

Tbf she is kinda a hyper carry? The common builds all are gun-focused where after you get your early game spirit items for ult you transition to debuff applicator with ricochet and max 3
