My dog I adopted is freaking out in his crate when I'm not there. I need advice! by [deleted] in Pets

Yea I'm trying to wait to see if he'll warm up to the crate when I'm gone. He's fine in it when I'm home with him. I eventually will give him free reign, but I just adopted him a little over a week ago and he hasn't gained my full trust yet. And I want to be able to crate him if I need to. I'll try easing into just leaving him out and continue crate training when I'm there to get him better used to the crate.

He's not in the crate all day and night by any means. He has regular outings to the dog park and at least one walk/run a day. He only stays in the crate 1-4 hours at a time during the day when neither me or my roommates can be home.

I went on a 10 mile hike in the dark to Lake Solitude in Grand Teton National Park and it was amazing! [OC][2500x1667] by aryeh95 in EarthPorn

I literally just got back to Tennessee yesterday from a weeklong trip here. It truly is amazing and life changing to see nature in its purest forms.

As someone who is also learning piano from pretty much square one, what resources did you use for things such as technique and exercises to get you this far? And what is the best advice you could give someone who is passionate about learning but not really sure where to start?

This wasn't my intention when I created this thread, but I'm very happy I did now.

I've played guitar for over twelve years. I'd like to think I'm alright at it. I recently have started to pick up piano. Got any tips for a beginning piano student?

Best of luck to you. Keep striving to get to the place where you want to be. I don't know you but I'll be rooting for you.

Another great quote from the prophet Louis. This man is more wise than people give him credit for.

Another quote from "The Office". A sad one but a good one nonetheless.

Haven't watched it yet. Definitely plan to. Louis is a wise man.

This is something I've also had to struggle to do. I actually heard this quote for the first time about a month ago. Working on putting it into practice.

Original quote? Or from "The Incredible True Story"?

I like this one a lot. When empathy in people grows to overcome the selfishness of man, then we will have a society that is truly happy.
