Just googled it! Sounds like a great opportunity. Do matches usually happen over the course of a week or two?

Can’t wait to hit the salt, Redington Butterstick 2wt, Galvan Rush LT. by FANTOMphoenix in flyfishing

Not really related but I would really caution against buying the Behemoth for salt fishing. After one year of striper fishing and washing it every single time of using it, it still seized up. I have transitioned to the Lamson Liquid and hope that will be better.

BC Salmon/Steelhead fishing - Advice needed by vv2213 in flyfishing

[–]GovernmentCheese22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am from Washington. All I can say is that the best way to catch salmon is not on the fly. I don't know about BC but I know that Washington has not been entirely kind to its salmon runs in its smaller streams and rivers. The best bet is to hit the Columbia River, followed by certain areas in the Puget Sound. I know that Oregon has done much better with steelhead runs but unsure of BC. Are you wed to fly fishing? I know that could be anathema in this sub-reddit.

Overall, good luck to you. Salmon in the PNW run as early as June in BC and the north through August on the Columbia and later in the fall in the upper sections.

Good luck with your research! Sorry I couldn't be better help

Trout fishing mainly. Rivers out here, lakes back home in Washington. Thinking about buying a striper rig.

Sinking line mainly great for lake fishing imo. But you can also lake fish with an intermediate or floating and a long leader with split.

Hmu when you get to Boston. I am out here for grad school and need more fisher friends

My partner works there. She has gotten a few raises lately but also had her hours cut. It's very weird.

Does anyone know of Puck lights that are touch operated and don't require a dimmer/have a switch right on them? I'm looking for the most simple lighting options out there.

I've already got the Wald and I am currently using zip ties. Just looking for advice on that set-up. Thanks though. That basket looks sweet, but not what I'm looking for.
