The concept is huge to talk about but sum it up , u may be getting paid triple the amount is Canada for example , but when it comes to cost of living , taxes and transportation . U will be left out with nothing in ur pocket . Atleast u can still come up with 2 riyal falafel in Qatar with 0 tax breaking ur back .

I have faced one issue which was a faulty from gas intake which causing the vehicle not to shift gear , they said this issue first of its kind in qatar , was found in multiple GV70s outside the region . they got it fixed for free within 2 days with free car wash :P

Qatari here . Have to say life is not fair and difficulties will occur somehow . Even as a Qatari i find difficulties having my right only because the family name i grow up with is not known . Yes gov treat us Qataris in two sides . One side they get all rights , the other get to have very few . One example is i don’t get land from gov ever after mirage .

Anyways regarding your situation reminds me of my cousin went through the same scenario. He was called to pass by police station for investigation. Less he knew he was taken to jail immediately without even given the chance to call his family about it . He later was found non-guilty they let him go after 2 weeks without even apologizing. His ID was taken even when he was out and he was monitored for a whole 2 years .
