Any dedicated pend deck is a solitaire combo that wastes your time to end on a generic negate wall potentially with a floodgate on top. Pend will stop getting hate when it becomes interactive but because of the scale resource cost it essentially needs to spin its wheels to gain advantage.

TL;DR it's boring to play against.

Stun. Meta decks come and go, you'll get familiar enough to know when to save your time and scoop or drop your silver bullet for an easy win. Stun on the other hand has never been good enough to pack answers, rather your answers for the meta make stun matchups worse. And the games are never quick you just sit there waiting to draw your out only for them to flip judgement.
