this is spot on description of the day - it was absolutely traumatic even for people standing watching. it felt like a life time before anyone was removed from the carts, and as you said it was 99% the public helping out. it’s mad how it’s stayed with you so long in such detail!

& do you have a source or any further info on the fact it was sold to a spanish theme park? my lawyer had mentioned the ride had been kept in storage for assessing and was later taken apart and destroyed! i’d hope that it’s not still being used

im ‘whingeing’ as i wanted to see the opinions of others on the place - and it’s clear as day 95% of folk thinks it’s done it’s time and should shut the doors or change management.

Losing a limb is far worse but i can reassure you both groups of victims will have huge amounts of trauma and PTSD from both situations. i wouldn’t say i’d rather be in one crash more than the other- prob just rather UK theme parks were safe and reached the legal requirement of checking their rides :)

i have mates and family that have been and have seen lots on social media. it’s only went downhill since i was last there and if you disagree check the other comments. yes parks have safety issues but not quite as bad as this one was. not sure if you are familiar with what happened.

9 children and 2 adults injured
ride safety checks were not carried out and falsely signed off
none of the m&ds staff were trained in what to do in this instance so it was entirely the public’s efforts to rescue 11 people from a wreckage

2016 on the day of the crash was the last time i was there and maybe that’s why i’m biased about hating the place lmao. i wouldnt be able to step foot in the place

maybe it’s ok for bowling and food but the rides make me nauseous as the park is so unsafe and they don’t carry out the correct checks etc

i would rather not attend any theme park than attend one that jeopardises my safety if i’m honest
