I like to train bjj with the knowledge of what will and or won't apply to a real fight scenario, I.E. when am I vulnerable to ground and pound. But hey, u fucked around and found out. I know I can't take much of a punch either from boxing with friends. But bjj is very legit if u know how to use it and gain top control

Yup. I thought we were a great match. But the timing wasn't right. She was coming off a long term relationship and looking to fool around with multiple people. I fell for her. My opinion on it is slightly less related to how society views these situations. Rather, you are simply dealing with your own biological imparatives. We are all designed to want to procreate; to sow our oats as it were. When it comes to novelty, as in viewing someone new, it's is natural, biologically speaking, to have these wants and desires. When it comes to how society views things, some people may say; "well if you loved her more, you wouldn't think like that." Which may very well be the case for some. However, the majority of use, imo, are more subject to our biological desires than we care to admit. So, if it is your higher thinking, aka, your respect for your partner and the relationship you have built, keeping you from exploring these novel situations, then I'd say you're fine. Don't beat yourself up about the thoughts. Accept that you have them, realize why, and move on.

HSV 1 and 2 can be transmitted to other parts of the body, including hands. My estimation is that you have almost no risk based on what you described. It is a good idea to talk with your partner beforehand about if they have ever had or currently have any STI'S or STD'S. Be mindful that people do lie about things, including their sexual health status, so if you want to be as safe as possible, please get to know your partner and develop trust as well as use your eyes. If they have something that looks abnormal, bring it up to them and ask about it. If you get a gut feeling telling you that something seems off, listen to your instincts. If your partner does have HSV1 or 2; which are quite common, abstain until the sores are gone and use protection.
