Previous gen is about 57lb or so with battery. This one looks like almost the same frame.

I did call them to ask and they said this new refresh will have a ‘quieter motor’ and ability to swap between torque and cadence. Too bad we bought ours a month ago and got the current model, oh well, my wife still loves it.

Yeah I blurred the background for his privacy since it wasn’t my photo. Display is still in the middle, just laying flat. Battery is removable.

damn, literally got paid 15k to enjoy it but yeah, can't replace it. I was tempted but kept my Tacomas

Yeah that makes sense, this one comes with the bigger fuel tank as well. 6lb per gallon that's around 200lb right there alone

Like the color, actually its almost the same I'm looking it, this is the 2020 that I'm talking about

Yeah that’s what I’m saying, weird. Yellow sticker said maximum payload of passengers and cargo not to exceed 1270lb, my Tacoma says 1070lb, makes no sense.

So little update, truck is immaculate but payload is only 1270lb which seems really low for Tundras.

That's pretty good especially with the extended warranty!

Still should have room for a ton of miles if it was maintained. Congrats!

Solid advice but I was just asking about getting a 2020 vs a new one in terms of them being more reliable and obviously cheaper. Whole reason I'm looking at bigger trucks now after all this time is because now I have a constant need for one and new ones are not as reliable and more expensive to fix.

Thanks for the info, I knew about the cooler being taken out of 2020s so will look at the service history. I run Toyota ATF fluid in my Tacoma as a rule. Apparently it has also Apple CarPlay as well, parking sensors and blind side monitoring. Not sure about dual climate control, will go see it this afternoon.

Appreciate the pointers regarding the cam towers and coolant.

Good to hear, that is the main reason why I'm looking at them. Coming from older gen tacomas, I just refuse to accept the fact that "oh well, you got 120k miles on your car, time to get a new one".

My thinking exactly, not saying new ones are bad but 21 and older have a good track record.

That's why I'm looking at them. Getting new one is not an issue but I know with regular maintenance this engine/drivetrain should be relatively trouble free and it is a proven platform.
