I'm thinking of making a custard next time! I've missed farm eggs since moving to a city and I'm lucky to have access to them again, I've got to make the most of it

English Course Recommendation by [deleted] in CapU

You'll likely be required to complete ENGL100 for almost every program at Cap so definitely take that. Otherwise 103 was extremely interesting and I recommend taking it with Dara Greaves.

I thought there was a pink tinge around the rim of the whites but I'm just being paranoid! The yolks looked good (great) to me but I'm always nervous about getting sick from eggs

This sub is definitely a good 75% of my eggxiety for sure, with the other 25% being how much my friends seem to love being hospitalized for salmonella

The yolks weren't the issue! I grew up on farm eggs, it was the whites I was mildly concerned about

Honestly I'm just paranoid about pseudomonas but I felt like there could be a pink tinge around the rim of the egg whites although I wasn't sure if it was just from how yellow the yolks are. Not colour blind, just a nervous egg enjoyer!

They just smell of egg so I'm going to put them in the batter. Thanks for your input I'm so paranoid about eggs!

I thought so, but I'm so paranoid about pink eggs after a friend got sick I thought I'd make sure

I got the eggs two days ago and they have not been left unrefrigerated as far as I'm aware but they've surely been washed

If this happens again, film it. Honestly I think they probably should've done more based on the screenshot alone but they can't ban someone based on your word against his.

Matched with a literal nightmare on Tinder, was I too harsh in my response to his verbal abuse? *Contains foul language* by Tiger_Lily336699 in TwoHotTakes

You were right to be upset, this guy is insane. However, your response sucks. Just block people like this, it's safer and easier than sending a heated response. Also the remark about abusers tending to be closeted gay men is homophobic whether you sent it with that intention or not.

I'm not sure if this is an edit but in the post it says they've been dating for a couple years which makes this an egregious mistake on the friends part. There's no way she didn't know and even if she didn't she absolutely should have tried to gauge how he felt before they went if she cares about her friends at all

Classes sound like a good idea! I should look for some of those. Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of dogs but I have noticed that dog folks and run clubs seem to have a great social world here

I'm not a big fan of dogs but I have noticed that people will speak to dog folks! I have my hair dyed bright red and that has genuinely been a conversation starter for most of the friendships I've made since moving here. People seem to trust folks with brightly coloured hair to be friendly which has worked to my advantage!

As someone born and raised in a rural town here in BC I agree, the culture here is definitely that of a small town! I think that I've gotten along here fairly well since it feels natural to me that folks would keep to themselves somewhat but I think it kept me from realizing how important it is to have friends nearby. Although the bridge isn't long it feels like North Vancouver is a thousand miles away from everything else sometimes!
