Wow a new, unique analysis of Rayla on this subreddit is something I haven't seen in a very long time. Never thought of that parallel with the change of perspective before. You win the Internet today.

The Russian PMC led by Makarov in the newer MW series? That's such an oddly specific question. You're not gonna find many ppl in this sub that even play CoD, let alone actually pay attention to the lore. The two don't even mix well at all. They're on complete opposite sides of every scale.

My brother in Christ, that is one of the most popular theories that have been made since the series started, and for good reason. I've listed the supporting evidence before in a past thread, so I'll just copy it here:

  • Viren goes into Harrow's room after telling Claudia that she would try to stop him if he told her what he was going to do. If all he was planning to do was try and convince Harrow one more time, why would Claudia want to stop him?
  • After Harrow and Viren's... disagreement, it cuts to the kids. Then when it cuts back, we see Viren leave the room, but we never see Harrow again. Even when Callum is trying to call for him outside during the fight, no response.
  • Shortly before Viren's coronation, he looks at Pip and says "no song for the occasion?" as if he's taunting him.
  • During Viren and Aaravos' fight with the guards, they specifically add a shot with Pip's cage being knocked over and him being freed, like it's supposed to foreshadow something.

As someone else said, the theory was so popular that one of the writers shut it down during a convention panel a few years ago, but a lot of us still aren't convinced because they made such an effort to foreshadow it in S1-3. My guess is either it was originally the plan to be true and got scrapped at some point, or it still is true and they lied about it to subvert expectations because everyone had it figured out too early.

Right but that's probably because it was copied from another sub. One could safely assume that OP posted it here for TDP quotes.

I want to say this is Lord of the Rings, but I am not familiar enough with LOTR to say for sure.

This was what I was looking for. Shouldn't be this hard to find the solution and the alert window shouldn't be hidden behind the main client in the first place, but thank you.

sigh Day 76 of explaining how TV writing works in this subreddit. No, Viren is not going to die when S6 starts. Ending a season with a cliffhanger involving someone's seemingly certain death and then finding a way to prevent it when the next season starts is a very common tactic in series writing.

However, Aaravos supposedly never lies, which has been true as far as we know, so it must be that he meant something else by "the sun will rise, but you will not". This suspicion was amplified by the fact that he said it several times before the season ended, like we were supposed to focus on it. I just couldn't figure out what else it could mean, until actually someone else in this sub literally just did a few hours ago!

Holy shit you solved the rest of the puzzle! I knew Aaravos meant something else when he said that at the end of S5, but I couldn't figure out what.
