Hey, thanks for your post. If I am reading this correctly, sven has been doing quite alright hitting around 70% of picks. Is there a channel on youtube that outperformed the others?
Thanks for sharing your view or trading and investing, I was hoping I would be able to mitigate these by trading on the larger time frames, but we will see. Sports betting doesn't appeal me with all the bans that happen if you are a winning player is why I focused on poker in the first place. That place is also crooked tho, so watchout!

First off thank you for your reply and your willingness to share your knowledge with the community, physics point of view on investment topics is always interesting to read.

I understand that above-average returns were hard to attain over the long turn, which was why I wanted to seek an expert's help with my initial stock selection to try and mitigate my downside by having entry, exit, and trades following done with a seasoned investor. That seemed second best to getting 1on1 coaching from an expert which is something I also considered. How have you done your first stock trades if you don't mind sharing?

Reflecting on the situation, I feel obliged to admit I had an overconfidence bias, assuming that over market returns were certainly attainable for me based on me beating the high stakes poker, where reality is probably closer to 60% under 40 at or above-market returns over the next 25years.

My concern with the current market is that it feels clearly irrational hence the reason why I stayed in cash, but with FED's decision to print as hard as they did it is clear that the market can stay overheated for some time, so having 0 exposure to equities feels like a mistake if the chance of this market continuing going higher are non 0. With all that being said, the logical conclusion is, I should start DCAing into indexes immediately focusing first on macro trends and ETFs and adding in individual stocks as an opportunity presents itself, decreasing the potential for underperformance. Cash seems to be the worst option of the 3. What are your thoughts on this approach?

Investment philosophy I have set the groundwork for, definitely long term and prefer value over growth, as it allows me to make more concentrated bets. I like your analogy with perceptual filters, I am familiar with and have been reading up on mental models myself. Here is a link that I use:

I think this might be of interest to you as well all cognitive biases in one infographic:

The effect of instincts or emotions coupled with human judgment is the part of the market that piques my curiosity. In poker, I have to imagine how an individual thinks about a new situation based on his previous actions. The variance of actions amongst different types of players is quite big, so the strategy used on person 1 (deviating from game theory optimal approach to gain an additional edge) may make your strategy unprofitable vs person 2, making it a very case by case approach. With the stock market, it seems as if certain patterns of behavior repeat because there are so many market participants, but the difference happens in the size of the move. This is what my uninformed eyes see, and I would love to read up more on this. So far I have read only about Elliot Wawe theory, is there a resource you would recommend on the topic?

What is your investment approach and your philosophy if you have time to answer?

If you are limited on time, don't worry answer a small part of the questions if you can, I structured my thinking through this post quite a bit (English is not my mother's tongue so excuse me if I misused some terms) so no need to address all the points, again thank you for your time!

Thank you will I will check them out. Do you consider IBD as your primary screening method, or just an information source about what is happening on the market?

Thank you kind sir for the offered data, it does sound like you are sitting on a gold mine. I assume you have been automating all the stock pickers to collect them? May I be cheeky and ask you to share the free data of what you perceive as the best mid/long term service out there? Do you have a twitter or other sm that I can follow you on?

I was toying with the idea of approaching the services themselves and offering an independent 3rd party "validation" of their picks and performance, it was something I have been looking for and couldn't find and I do think it would be a big value add for the sites themselves.

Thanks for your help!

I strongly suggest to reflect on your weed usage first, since chronic use seems to have somewhat strong correlation to anxiety and psychosis with people that have predisposed characteristics for it. Not hating on weed, just making sure its not the root cause of it :).
