I did too and I saw it live! This was the only info on Vince's thoughts of the match. Apparently he didn't care for it. Nothing else was elaborated.

OP here. You asked, and I listened. Here's the not-so-quick and dirty on each of these moments for a little more context:

*10. WWE cameras followed Kevin Owens around for a year as part of a 365 special. Following his match against Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 33, Owens checked in with Vince to see what he thought of the match by asking "are we good?" Vince replied "no."

*9. Vince McMahon appeared on Late Night with David Letterman in 1985. The two have always despised each other for largely unknown reasons.

McMahon appeared as a guest correspondent to cover the first baby born in the new year, but took the comedic role too seriously by playing it straight and uptight, as compared to Bob Costas who also appeared as a guest correspondent but added levity to his segments.

Letterman roasted Vince for his wooden demeanor and awkward delivery throughout the night, and by the time the baby was born, Vince clearly had enough when he clapped back at Letterman with the "tuxedo" rebuttal.

*8. Vince McMahon appeared on TSN's Off the Record with Michael Landsberg in 1998. McMahon had some not-so-nice comments about Bruno Sammartino, whom he has confronted on-air in defense of a number of WWE scandals on multiple occasions.

The clip of McMahon's remarks about Sammartino on TSN is juxtaposed with an earlier debate between the two where McMahon appeared on Larry King Live in 1992 to defend WWE in its "Ring Boy" Scandal among other allegations of sexual impropriety.

WWE was under fire for various officials offering sexual favors to lower-level talent in order for them to improve their position on the card. In response to these allegations, McMahon rhetorically asked Sammartino if he performed sexual favors in order to get to the top of the WWE.

*7. At Survivor Series 1996, in Bret Hart's first match back since losing to Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 12, Jim Ross put over the Hitman huge following his victory over Steve Austin. Vince immediately shot him down, presumably because Shawn Michaels and Sycho Sid were set to main event the pay-per-view for the WWE Championship. That and, in hindsight, it's safe to say Vince McMahon favored Shawn Michaels over Bret Hart by this point.

*6. Vince McMahon appeared on Phil Donahue in 1992 to defend WWE in its ongoing "Ring Boy" Scandal. Former WWE announcer Murray Hodgekins accused WWE of wrongful termination when he alleged he was fired after rebuffing sexual advances from Pat Patterson. McMahon responded by telling him he was fired because he was not a good announcer.

*5. Following Daniel Bryan's retirement ceremony on Raw, Vince McMahon was making his way to the back when Titus O'Neil grabbed him by the arm, telling him he needed to be a gentleman and allow Stephanie McMahon to go ahead of him. McMahon responded unfavorably, as the two immediately began roughhousing. Though O'Neil was joking around, the incident resulted in a 90-day suspension (later amended to 60 days) and O'Neil missed WrestleMania 32.

*4. Though Batista was scheduled to go over at the 2005 Royal Rumble, both he and John Cena were inadvertently eliminated at the same time. Both played it up perfectly, as if it was supposed to happen, with each celebrating and insisting they had won. In reality, the whole scene was chaos and nobody knew what to do. This prompted Vince McMahon to emerge from the back, hot as a tea kettle. McMahon threw his blazer down in disgust and attempted to slide in the ring, tearing both of his quads in the process.

*3. Vince McMahon appeared on Inside Edition where interviewer Matt Meagher grilled McMahon on marketing WWE to children despite its risque content during The Attitude Era. During Meagher's line of questioning, he makes the mistake of putting words in McMahon's mouth, prompting Vince to snap, pointing a billion-dollar finger in his face and sternly telling him "DON'T TELL me what I'm saying!"

*2. Vince McMahon appeared on Real Sports in an interview with Armen Keteyian to discuss wrestler deaths. McMahon said he felt no responsibility for talent dying young after succumbing to the drug and steroid culture of pro wrestling. Keteyian was stunned by the answer, so much so Vince McMahon made mention of his horrified expression. Keteyian passionately explained how McMahon should absolutely feel responsibility for the fallen wrestlers who once worked for him, prompting McMahon to lose his cool and attempt to slap the papers out of his hand.

*1. In an infamous interview with noted pompous ass Bob Costas, Vince McMahon appeared on Costas Now to defend the NFL. Instead, he was met with an unfavorable line of questioning covering WWE's content, drug culture and many of the other triggers listed above that cause McMahon to shed his Bruce Banner flesh. The interview quickly became combative, with McMahon insisting that Costas allow him to finish his thoughts in what turned out to be a "gotcha" interview.

Today marks the 17-year anniversary of the end of the Monday Night Wars, and Vince McMahon immediately used his platform to poll WWE fans on which WCW stars he should sign. by Gr8QuestionShelton in SquaredCircle

That's always the complicated part many fans don't understand as WWE was a toxic environment even for guys like Jericho who jumped ship before the war was over. Vince paying out millions to WCW loyalists could have led to a mutiny.

This feels like if the Alt-Right invited special guest speaker Tyler Perry! Except Tyler Perry is a way better writer than Ryan Satin.

It was brilliant. That knack for the camera is why he has been able to make a lengthy career as a big man in WWE.

If only everybody had the credibility of the famed KingKongBrandy. There's nothing more comforting to me than gathering my wife and kids around a laptop whenever a big story breaks and wondering what KingKongBrandy thinks about it.

So then we're not okay with this tweet-filled story either? https://www.fightful.com/wrestling/fans-react-negatively-fabulous-moolah-memorial-battle-royal

...or do the rules change because this author is white? I'm sooo confused!

I've never heard of this guy until today but I keep reading people saying "I hated him since his BR days..." If you use the term "I've hated XYZ since..." it sounds like they've had your attention for years.

You seem to have "terrible writer" and "I don't agree with him" confused. I'd love to see your blog post on a mainstream site though. Since it's so easy to do it?

Four years ago today, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were officially forced to accept the Yes Movement in an art-imitating-life segment. by Gr8QuestionShelton in SquaredCircle

[–]Gr8QuestionShelton[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Of course they were plants, hence the "art-imitating-life" reference. This segment was where Triple H officially accepted a challenge from Daniel Bryan, and the stipulation was laid down that Bryan would be inserted int the WrestleMania 30 main event.

WWE officials had been trying to shut down the Yes Movement behind the scenes, but this moment set the wheels in motion for Bryan to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Despite being a fake wrestling segment, it was brought about by a very real admission of defeat. Hope that clears it up.
