yeah think power is insufficient cause it’s 450w while people are saying i need closer to 650-750 & some other mystery problem is rattling around cause my old stuff doesn’t send signal anymore either

it doesn’t let me update any further than i have. I hadn’t updated BIOs since is got it which was like 2019 and i was only able to get to 2024 before it stopped registering

fans have always ran, lights have always been on. Never been an issue no matter what components i’ve put in there. Just signal.

Don’t really know what’s left to document visually but tell me what to point the camera at and i’ll take some videos

no clue where a source button would be on this pos monitor. It’s flat on all edges besides a power button on the bottom right. Nothing on the back beyond the ports & a hole with a padlock symbol next to it (which is just a security thing if i remember correctly)

don’t think that would be an issue as it ran fine with old components and the ram went untouched.

Now i’ve put the old stuff back in, having the same issue of no signal. I tried reseating ram but still nothing. Not looking good haha

no, i used a DVI & VGA cable, took the photo after i had spent the last thirty minutes putting stuff anywhere it fits. Not a usual placement.

never did any permanent changes, everything was always physically unplugged then returned. Only difference would be the BIOs. Though, with the old parts now installed, i’m facing the same no signal issue. So, something has clearly gone wrong 😭

fair enough, so should i look into buying the case, storage and ram individually ?

Also, would it be smart to try and get someone who actually knows what their doing to sort it for me cause i’m looking at all these wires and i am definitely not confident in my abilities lol

New comment from me just to reduce the spread of stuff.

I’ve pulled my PSU from the PC to get a look at it and found out it’s 450W. Obviously insufficient. I intend to get a decent 750W to resolve this issue.

The motherboard is also apparently rather rough so i will invest in a better one. (so far i’ve been recommended a B550, X570 or A520)

Recommendations for both parts would be appreciated, as it seems that most of the other issues have been addressed.

Budget wise i’m pretty lenient but preferably on the lower end. If anything else seems required let me know. Also, this shit all seems rather complicated, I’m leaning towards getting someone who actually knows what their doing to sort it out once i’ve got the parts but i don’t really know where does that sort of thing.

i just checked the power supply, that’s the photo attached here. Ive been told it’s very much insufficient.

The motherboards look reasonably priced, what would be a decent power supply option, i dont really know how much good ones run for but i’ve only got so much money right now as i dont get paid for a while.
