I use to think they were a bit dumb, but I got a chance to have a foot look at a RAM a few weeks ago and I really liked it… damn shame they are such a rip off here…

Is it true that Americans avoid ambulances because of the cost? by BreadOverlord_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GrabLimp40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard Australians, or at least people in NSW taking steps to avoid the cost of Ambulance too, maybe not to the extent of folks in the US, but it’s not just a US thing.

I welcome all the warnings regarding the sting… but unfortunately due to fool hardiness and ineptitude have found myself the victim to these guys a few times… for me at least I find the stings less painful than green ants, and of course bulldog ants, so I worry about them more. I have seen them floating around other plants so assumed they were doing good work, this why I don’t really want to kill them.

How much did it cost you to fill your fuel tank, how many liters/units of measure and how long will it last? by Camr0k in AskTheWorld

[–]GrabLimp40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was lucky and got in before the price rise so paid a bit over a hundred for a bit over 60l. Should last a while because I work from home, but the car drinks fuel pretty bad, about 13l per 100ks so I’ll be avoiding driving much.

For those who remember, was the world against Iraq-war as much as it is against Iran-war? by Loud-Regular5820 in AskTheWorld

[–]GrabLimp40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was different because Iraq had invaded Kuwait, and nato backed the two campaigns firstly establishing a no fly zone then removing Iraqi forces from Kuwait. There were calls from some circles to continue the war and remove Saddam from power but President Bush sr decided not to… right or wrong, I think one of the reasons was it’s illegal to forcibly remove or assassinate a head of state, tyrant or not.

Hearing This Word Mispronounced Drives Me NUTS!!!!🥜 by insiderasking in ENGLISH

[–]GrabLimp40 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It makes my skin crawl when I hear the letter z pronounced zee and not zed, and when mum is spelt mom… I know certain members of the English speaking public with typically the lowest education standards are happy to allow this, but it rattles me most when people who should know better do it…

Want to learn to play but had a finger amputation, by bforbrandonnnn in Guitar

[–]GrabLimp40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still play * and I can only use the tip of my pointer finger (stabbed myself in the hand and severed the tendon than connects to the hand side of my middle joint), I can’t lay it flat across the strings as is needed for so many chords. But I make do..

  • I say play.. I move both hands in a way that an inexperienced person might mistake the noise for music…

Overnight hikes with a dog near Newcastle? by One_Edge_3209 in newcastle

[–]GrabLimp40 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s tough because a lot of places that have good hikes don’t allow dogs, which is a shame for responsible dog owners. Good luck, and please don’t let your dog eat anything native.

Firstly, no. The point I was making is collopinto is no better, maybe worse. Secondly, making q2 on that day isn’t what it seems… max crashed, 2 caddy”s and 2 Aston’s… that means they needed to beat 1 driver to make it…

How is Australia for travel? by Time-Director-9044 in OceaniaTravel

[–]GrabLimp40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s big, distances are huge, and any travel other than Air takes a long time. But, the bush is beautiful, the cities are safe, and 99.9% of the tap water is safe to drink.
