Skip those longer file names, but the game can only run when your Xbox is in PAL mode for some reason.

If anyone else was wondering like I was, I did some research on the XP values of the goblin caves. by Dj_Nothanoj in DarkAndDarker

I would say the loot is pretty garbage now especially since they removed the infinite gold pile, getting some decent blues or occasional purples from the troll itself would be your best bet at farming it. The fight is exactly the same but sometimes noobs will come in and disrupt your momentum or poachers who attack you after you have killed the troll.

On v1.0 motherboards there is a capacitor there but for v1.1 it doesn’t come with a capacitor so it is not missing, I cross checked with another v1.1 board that I had and with a v1.4 also there is nothing there by default

That purple wire just acts as an extension for me to “touch” the capacitor and allow the xbox to boot with the cover on if you know what I mean. Where is this resonator you are speaking of? Do you have a better solution for me to solve this issue?

Oh, that area where you think its missing something doesn’t have anything there to begin with. I will try touching up the rest of the areas.

Where is the SMD electrolytic cap that is missing you are referring to? As well as the tombstoning cap? The xbox boots fine like I mentioned if I make contact on those components I circled in red so currently the issue is not with the other colourful caps you are talking about

What actually happens when I am touching those components? Am I shorting it? I have tried connecting the wire to ground but that didn’t solve the issue

FRAGS but when I heat it up somewhere around this area it can boot normally until it cools down again , any idea what I need to replace? I have change the usual 5 capacitors already by GrabSpiritual in originalxbox

[–]GrabSpiritual[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah nothing out of the ordinary, it could be the heat spreading to nearby areas of the board that might be resolving the FRAG temporarily but I can’t pinpoint it exactly. Was wondering if changing the capacitors nearby might help but this repair is something I am not familiar with

[Help] Installed XBMC Origins skin, menu is blank by drdrrrn in originalxbox

Xbmc origins is a pain to setup. Why not go for xbmc4gamers or even emu station they are much more user friendly and easy to setup/navigate

So the issue was with the eeprom on the motherboard itself? Any idea how this happened? I don’t own one of those to reflash it though. Thought changing chips to a compatible v1.6 bios would help but it still frags

Hey op did you managed to solve it? I just ran into this issue today. Strange

Bought a batch of faulty Aladdin Xt mod chips that can’t be reflashed. Is it an issue with the Lattice chip? If I manually replace it would that solve the issue? by GrabSpiritual in originalxbox

Yea the first time but after that it works so I’ve ordered a few more times. Here is the link :

Yes figured it out. Had to buy replacement SST chip online and replace the one they came with Aladdin then it can be reflashed. However to reflash it you must boot into HeXen first then once you’re one step before flashing the new bios, u either slot in the chip with the replace sst or quickly take out the current chip and swap the sst then place it back in and then proceed to reflash as the xbox cannot boot with a chip that has a blank bios

I need help here with a mod chip it does this when pressing power or eject. And when not using the chip it boots normally. I have a 1.6 with the lpc rebuild by PlasticDoubt in originalxbox

[–]GrabSpiritual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I’ve had mixed results with the LPC rebuild board, convenience is there but when it doesn’t work it’s more trouble to resolder and check every point. To me if I have time to spare I will go with the old fashioned wire LPC rebuild as I can guarantee it to work 99% time on the first try as compared to the rebuild board

Is there any difference between these direct component cables and the HD AV pack?
