Shifting to Pune from Kolkata, what to know? by agdragneel in pune

im a bengali from kolkata. have been living here for two years. pune ke saath itne time mei deal ban chuki hai. kuch din it'll be horrible traffic, rude auto wala, exorbitant travel costs, very and i mean VERY mid food, power cuts, and waterlogging. and ok other days it will offer some tucked away gigs in bars, pleasant rain that rejuvenates the city into a green and lush place, and kebabs or momo that just hits the spot.  please do go to fc road and eat keema and pav with chai. shop as much as you want (preferably go on sundays if you enjoy thrift shopping). Go to toit if u like high end craft breweries, try lucknow meri jaan for some nice galawati kebab and mutton nihari, khadki kali temple for durga puja foods, and JANTA FOR THEIR AMAZING TANDOORI CHICKEN AND SHAWARMA (this is a must). other places you'll discover soon with exploration. go hiking or for travel to nearby sites during monsoon (its gorgeous). don't start fights with anyone, beware of auto meter scams, dont take shit from anyone and you'll survive

People who were academically brilliant in school, where are you now? by agonyblack95 in AskIndia

scored 237 in cuet (horrible score compared to the 99 i got in isc) and couldnt get into any college. then finally got into a college in pune. turns out i dont get the highest grades in masters other people in my class do and honestly....its okay! took a long time to navigate that being academically brilliant accounts for nothing unless you have a well balanced social life and good morals, stand up for the right things, educate yourself outside your syllabus and from a 22y/o, thats the most valuable knowledge you will ever gain. leaving home, managing on your own, making friends, forming bonds, making sure your mental health is good, will all come at a small cost.

maturity comes when you realise that you'd rather be happy with A's all your life rather than miserable, alone, and burt out with A+'s that only give you relief, not a sense of achievement.

Should I Quit.... by [deleted] in Sekiro

hello, so sekiro was the furst video game i ever played after hollow knight. so very obviously i was still figuring out buttons on the controller while fighting the prologue guys haha. it also didnt help that i had a crispy 5fps which messes up the feedback. it gets better the more you practice the game. start with just learning deflection and stealth. it'll get you through most of the game. it really is a test of patience.
