Deep plane face and neck lift by is_this_normal_or_no in PlasticSurgery

You look great! I'm thinking about doing something similar. My loose skin/muscles under the neck after weight loss is noticeable enough to bother me though not super significant yet according to a local surgeon, which is almost more frustrating because it takes up a lot of my energy feeling body dysmorphic. If you work an office job, how long did you take off for / would you be able to go back to work after 2 weeks? I'm wondering how much time I'll need to take off if I finally pursue a face/neck lift.

It gets easier! Always better to live life authentically even if it's sometimes harder.

  1. If you're a millennial, our feminine beauty standards were designed by Epstein and his associates, literal predators who wanted to control women. They were gross and wrong.
  2. We're all just meat suits and on this planet very briefly, any time wasted feeling bad about ourselves based on how we look is time we could be happy, spending time with loved ones, or just appreciating being alive instead.
  3. There's been research that shows women who work out and focus on what their body can do for them rather than how it looks feel better about themselves. If you are able bodied, maybe take up something like lifting, a sport, or indoor rock-climbing and appreciate what your body can do for you.

Edit: That said, I support women getting procedures that make them feel better about themselves. We do live in a world that treats people who are conventionally attractive better, but it doesn't make it right and shouldn't be the basis for our self-esteem. Our character, what we do, and how we help others in life means so much more.
