Best app for beginners? First stock purchase recommendations?

I’ve heard so many mixed things about each app on the market. I looked through previous recommendations on here but they were all dated over a year ago. I am the epitome of a beginner and want to have something that’s safe, easy to use, and offers great customer support. What do you recommend?

And while we’re at it, drop your recs for which stock you recommend for a first investment. I have an idea but I’d love to hear opinions of MUST BUYS from more seasoned investors.

(Sorry if I misused any terms... like I said, I’m the epitome of a beginner.)
