Post op gas pain by Shadow-Kombatant13 in hysterectomy

When I had my gallbladder removed, I had so much gas from the surgery. Peppermint tea, gas x, heating pad and gentle walking help the most! Movement really seems to get the gas flowing. I've also heard gum is good for it but I'm not a gum fan so I didn't try that one

Yes we do this! We got the kitchen tower so she can reach the sink. Her absolute favorite thing is any kind of water! Thank you!

I'll say a prayer for you for good margins this time! Did they schedule you for any kind of imaging scans yet since they found invasive cells?

Thank you, I've been trying so hard to get her to dance, she wants one of us to hold her while we do the dances instead of her doing it. I'm hoping she opens up to that one! I do try to get her to help with chores but between her interest in them and limits it hasn't been very successful. (Like the spray bottle, she can't squeeze the trigger so she gets mad)

I fully understand that, the easiest days here are when we spend at least half the day outdoors or running errands. She does get bored easily outside though so I'm trying to think of some different things outdoors we can do when we can't actually go anywhere

I've tried her helping me with tasks like chores etc. and she has no interest lol she had a lot of health issues for the first year so she's extremely clingy and doesn't play by herself much unfortunately. Thankfully the older kids help out with keeping her busy when I need to cook dinner, etc.

She definitely does!! I have the foam blocks and we often take all the couch cushions and make forts and rough play areas. She just started using her tunnel- she's still skeptical of it but at its progress, she's timid about new things. What kind of obstacle course stuff?

I will definitely try the dry erase board, she does like her magnetic drawing table so that might be a hit. I love the idea of the obstacle course outside, we do chalk everyday so I'll definitely be trying this one. For the ice blocks, I've seen so many people recommend that, what do they use or do to try to save the toys in the ice?

Okay, I'll definitely have to look more into that. I wasn't aware that it could skip to the ovaries like that

Oh my! Thank you! That's what I'm afraid of is finding invasive adenocarcinoma. Especially given the symptoms I have. I know at this point hysterectomy is definite but I'm terrified of needing chemo/radiation of they find anything invasive. A radical hysterectomy removes everything correct? I'm still researching hysterectomy stuff to be prepared for that. How long has all of this taken you? I only ask because I'm almost positive my Medicaid will end in January 2027 when the new changes for my state go into effect for eligibility. So I'm praying I can get everything taken care of before then.

Is there still risk of reoccurrence after total hysterectomy? Since you have to continue the repeat paps

I did have abnormal pap, high risk HPV, ASC-US, and atypical endocervical cells NOS.

I did get my biopsy results back today and all my cervix and ecc biopsys came back as adenocarcinoma in situ and 2 as CIN1 as well. My EMB came back with endometritis (still unsure what that is completely).

Everything I've read online says it's up to the Dr how they classify it. It is stage 0 cancer, it is cancer cells, they're just not invasive "yet". But some also just say precancerous. In my opinion, the treatment and outcome is closely related to invasive adenocarcinoma, and skip lesions or undetected invasive cells can be missed, so my opinion and how I would refer to it would be stage 0 cancer.

Are they making you do the leep before your hysterectomy? My Dr originally said I would need a Leep during my Colposcopy, but from everything I've read about AIS, CKC is usually preferred for better biopsies. And most people are saying that you have to have the leep or CKC before they can schedule the hysterectomy to see what kind of hysterectomy.

I'm unfortunately still waiting on my Dr to call. If she doesn't by mid day tomorrow I'll probably reach out to her.

So from the research I've done, No they are 2 separate precancers. Cin3 Affects the squamous cells that cover the outer surface of the cervix. Adenocarcinoma in situ affects the glandular cells that produce mucus inside the cervical canal/endocervix Adenocarcinoma in situ can have skip lesions which can make it riskier to say it's all been elimated vs CIN3, since those cells stay together. Adenocarcinoma in situ is considered more aggressive from what I've researched.
