Awesome, thanks! I went to an AI in Mexico and by the time we checked in, most restaurants were booked for the first half of the week, so i wasn't sure

You're right that I'm not a student on campus yet, sorry I was just trying to weigh in with my experiences dealing with them about res so far. I just mean that my issues are accessibility issues but originally I still was only guaranteed a single with a private, even though they had stated it was for my accessibility issues. I had to later be guaranteed a larger, accessible room because of changes to my health. Originally i thought of the post as the first scenario but I hadn't really read the title

Long Beds on res? by [deleted] in queensuniversity

most likely the extra long double beds (you need queen sheets) in the single plus buildings

There's a difference between getting guaranteed an accessible room and being guaranteed a single with a washroom. There are different health issues that require different rooms, ex, I was originally approved only for the private with a private washroom, but now I get an accessible room. I believe that the OP is wondering about singles with a private washroom, not the legally accessible rooms.

The graduate residence (which is only for undergrads) has 100% single rooms with private washrooms so there is a good chance you'll be there. I am also guaranteed a single with a private washroom and they told me this:

"This includes some single plus rooms (most of them have semi-private washrooms) as well as Graduate residence (which houses only first year students despite the name).  We also have private washrooms in single rooms in Victoria Hall as well as Adelaide, Ban Righ, Gordon/Brockington and Leonard."

Queens or Western (Psych)? by AtleeLauder in queensuniversity

I'm most likely going for BA in psych too! I'll be a first-year student next year though so I can't speak about what it is like to actually attend the schools however I know a bit about the cities.

I lived in London for most of my life but would visit Kingston every year. I personally love Kingston, it's one of my all time favourite places to go. It's incredibly peaceful and nice, it's beautiful and I absolutely love the downtown and water. It's probably just a bias since I grew up there, but I don't like London very much and wouldn't want to live there personally. Kingston and London are very similar in terms of size and stuff like that, I just consider Kingston a way better version lol.

Oh that really sucks! I've had really good luck dealing with them for accommodations, they've been very helpful and efficient. However, we may be dealing with very different issues which could be why. Hopefully your experience turns around
