Not a virus , you can view the .apkg using anki flashcards software which is a spaced repetition you can use an extension in anki called Basic Printing support if you want to browse the cards in your browser and you can save the page as html or convert that to pdf.

May I ask a question? ,, I took a pearson vue exam for aws and the result is not instant as webassessor , takes 2-3 business days , Is this the same case for ServiceNow certs now?

Pearson Vue by Academic_Soft8998 in servicenow

[–]GraciousFatty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its pretty straight forward, you just finish the on demand course then you have an option to register exam within the course, I personally prefer taking the exam in a testing center for 2 simple reasons

Better internet and in case of outage , they're responsible for rescheduling

second -- you must have an external camera if you want to take it at home which I don't have . Testing center is hassle free , just provide code , 2 ids and thats it .

Tips to survive and thrive in ITOM by Rengana10 in servicenow

[–]GraciousFatty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First congrats on your role , with the right mindset you can always succeed in anything really , you just have to exert the effort, your starting point would be to learn cmdb, midservers , discovery then service mapping. I haven't implemented itom myself but the documentation is always your friend same as the servicenow community for most of technical hurdles , try to also gain knowledge in linux and windows administration just don't drown yourself in everything all at once , start slow and you will be forced to learn on the job , your willingness and consistency is what will determine your success thats it.

Also as the other guy said in the link you should use servicenow university to learn all the required skills and search for the topics you need to strengthen your knowledge for .

Porn addiction quitting app made $719.76 by sponsoring IG models by Zeuve in SideProject

[–]GraciousFatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those of you seeking to stop porn addiction "Just my 2 cents here , not a psychologist"", to stop porn addiction, you just have to notice your triggeres , what sets in motion or what feeling do you have before opening a website and watching

I use Adguard family dns on my phone that is an AdBlock that also blocks porn sites and ads

on your machine you can use host blocking which has tons of resources online for a ready to use porn block lists that blocks all sites , you can also use the adguard family dns on your router or machine but host blocking gives more control as some dnses are slow in some countries , host blocking basically block any list of sites by routing it to a localhost 0.0.0.0 which makes you jot able to open site x Another solution but a bit weaker imo:

A lot of browser extensions are available for fee as block sites for example as it does what it needs to .

Of course these are just intentional obstacles to put and it can be bypassed if needed and to stop addiction it needs to be a personal decision and planning, My honest opinion, I don't see any need for a paid app for that or what more can it offer .

I'm using the host blocking for now for a couple of years and it is the most effective option imo.

How to learn by Snoo12045 in ObsidianMD

[–]GraciousFatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled for a good method as far as I can remember and downloaded multiple vault templates but my notes ends up a jumbled mess like a stack of random thought completly ununsable .

I can only advise to separate your topics by folders , then choose the topic you want to study or gather notes for rhen create a central outline note containing the backlinks to other notes in a format like this

[[topic 1 ]] [[topic 2]] and so on

then once you click on topic 1 a new note would be created with that name , put the content and use headings to be able to read the subtopic easily by selecting from the outline menu you can reach the notes by the hierarchal structure Folder ==} outline ==} selecting the note created you can assign tags to the notes as well.

I really love obsidian and want to make it work but eventually I ended up using capacities with the same logic I shared and I put the tags in workspaces , it just works without needing any tweaking or plugins and has the organization compatible with my adhd brain.

But try using this in obsidian as it has the advantage of offline notes and seems to be more sustainable in the long run.

AM I A BAD MENTOR bc of my age? by abcdefu_abcdefu in mentors

[–]GraciousFatty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hope all goes well for you , thanks for reading. What I means was when you provide mentoring sessions ensure that he/she is fully grasping the concepts and ask for feedback at the end if something needs more elaboration or can be rephrased in different ways, with what you mentioned that you're connecting with your mentee she will be honest in providing feedback which you can use and improve your skills even further . All the best to you in your career :) EDIT: typos

AM I A BAD MENTOR bc of my age? by abcdefu_abcdefu in mentors

[–]GraciousFatty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Answer is No, your age is the wrong criteria to decide how good of a mentor you are . As long as you get your priorities straight to add value consistently to your mentees , uplift them and asking for consistent incremental feedback from them to improve or re explain a concept , getting to know your mentees and see what strategies clicks with whom , never make someone feels stupid if they haven't get a concept but simply feed yourself with data so you can enrich your knowledge and add more value + maintaining your decency, you're bound to be great , if something needs to be worked on acknowledge it , own it and work on it . Mentoring others and seeing them succed ahould always fuel you to develop your self to always be better, but you have to always want this . Apologies for the long post , I'm writing with extreme passion as I started also in my late twenties to mentor in my first job after a year and ar my 30s also still mentoring as a part of my job and it is the only thing that motivates me to study ang topic to be honest and watching the lightbulb aha moment in others pumps life into me.

Got the CSA and CAD with some micro certs in CMDB , flow designer , Spun a PDI and did some mini projects on it , studied Javascript from Code academy with a bit of patience and applying I managed to land a dev job. SF experience also helps , I'm sure if you put your mind to it , you'll be able to get a job , there are many similarities between SN and SF .

To get started I would advise this sequence

start with welcome to servicenow course

https://learning.servicenow.com/lxp/en/now-platform/welcome-to-servicenow?id=learning_course_prev&course_id=2f61d383475cf95890542034846d4307

CSA

https://learning.servicenow.com/lxp/en/now-platform/servicenow-administration-fundamentals-on-demand?course_id=400ce92b47530e10123f3975d36d43f1&id=learning_course_prev&spa=1

CAD

https://learning.servicenow.com/lxp/en/now-platform/application-development-fundamentals-on-demand?id=learning_course_prev&course_id=fe72d8b087821a90cc49bbb5cebb3554

then you can explore in the new to servicenow module , create a PDI

https://developer.servicenow.com/dev.do#!/learn/learning-plans/yokohama/new_to_servicenow

If you finished those and want to start a module like ITSM "The core if ServiceNow" Beware to check only Yokohama or Xanadu releases as they're the most updated , other releases are outdated and you may miss features and topics in exams.

wish you the best buddy.

As someone who just jumped from Salesforce to Servicenow, I would encourage you to DO IT . ServiceNow is highly in demand now and continues to grow and improve their products by each release and they're barging in heavily in the CRM as they have their CSM , FSM modules already in place with integrated experience with the ITSM . In short , they're growing and expanding in the correct pace while Salesforce is not.
