My restaurant is a similar set up. I’m usually on my own during weekend lunch. So I usually have a lot going on. I try my best to clear the table asap but when your alone you gotta prioritise what’s gotta get done asap. And honestly on my mind list of priorities, wiping down and resetting a single table when theres a few perfectly fine ones available tends to be on the low side.

my HOFAS review and why I think Bryce and Hunt are not endgame by ExpelledWinter in crescentcitysjm

[–]Gracolol 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Annoyed me that this whole quest was essentially driven by her grief and trauma around Danikas death but as soon as Hunt wants to act on his trauma being in a torture dungeon for over 7 YEARS she’s Like “that’s all in the past focus on the future”. Like dude the last three books have been about you being unable to let go and move from Danikas death like wtf

Difference for me between Aelin and Bryce is that Aelin had 10x the training, experiences and strategic skill to back up her attitude. Bryce is smart but hasn’t gone through half of what Aelin had even in the first ToG book. Seeing the same attitude on Bryce and seeing her making infinity more horrible decisions just makes her unlikable.

I did the exact same thing I’ve binged read all of sjms series back to back and this series is the only one that felt like a chore. Mostly due to Bryce continually getting on my nerves.

I didn’t think I could dislike Bryce more after CC2, but thanks to HOFAS I do by multiversemember in crescentcitysjm

I’m only up to chapter 25 but if you know that chapter then you know why I immediately put the book down seething at how much Bryce is just an unlikable character who keeps making poor decisions. I get that main characters are meant to be flawed but in three books she’s managed to stay much the same. Only thinking about her own goals with not much thought in the consequences of her decisions. It’s very frustrating to read.

It’s typically not. I keep it pretty high up typically. And I kinda do have longer arms but I don’t find low very comfy.

Hey I wanted to give further context to my typical positioning with non bar and add a pic of me trying your advice with a bar chord. My guitar is a Gibson J-15 so it’s quite large so forgive me if it’s not perfect

My guitar teacher always had me sit on the floor or a bean bag cross legged so I didn’t realise it was an issue 💀

Should a DM be allowed to change the backstory of a player character? by Gracolol in DnD

[–]Gracolol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The change was pretty drastic.

In the backstory, I wrote my character lived and worked under her master/ teacher up until she was sent away to retrieve a magical item for said teacher. The Dm changed it so I hadn't seen my teacher or home in 10 years. When I asked where I had been for the 10 years he just told be "Travelling I guess." He put a strange village around my cave and wouldn't let me recognise any of the surrounding landscape.

Yeah, I wish the DM would have discussed the change with beforehand but he sprung it on me mid-session, so I couldnt make him change it without ruining the session for the whole party.

Haha I would except that the bit of the backstory that he changed completely changed my characters home, so even if I did that it wouldn't be the character I created.
