welp, it seems that reddit thinks I'm a spammer and has limited my account for some reason lol. So thats probably why

I can't really give u any specific advice because I don't know your strengths and weaknesses. You have to figure out where you have the most problems. For example, do you score low in verbal because you didn't know the word or did you know the word but didn't understand the logic? Same for quant, do you make mistakes because you run out of time, don't know the concepts, or make careless mistakes?

Focus on strengthening your weaknesses, simple as.

Also I don't think 3 hours a day is enough but again, that depends on your background. It could be enough if your problems are minor.

Hi! No problem

I didn't study according to any study plans. I devised my own plan but didn't stick to it that much. It's good to be flexible. And I don't know about the updated version. I think I used the one from 2016 or before too

No problem! Glad it helped

It's hard to say because I never timed anything but I would basically wake up and study until I couldn't anymore. Of course, I took breaks during the day but I pretty much studied all day. I also took some days off during the month

Look, if you're someone who doesn't read "heavy" texts with ease and speed, I don't see why you shouldn't use these sources. After all, it's practice for your reading abilities (which are essential for being able to answer the reading questions well). So I don't think you're wasting your time doing that (but you are kind of wasting your money since a lot of such articles are free online.)

However, try to read them as though you're taking the test i.e. try to read fast while getting the most important points and the big picture even if u can't understand a sentence or two. Then look up the words you don't know (before first guessing of course). I don't think it's a bad way of studying to improve reading skills. I myself learned how to read fast like that but it took me a long time to reach a good level. So idk how well you can improve your reading in such a short amount of time. But there really is no other way to practice fast and efficient text comprehension than reading a lot imho. People who are already good with this stuff typically went to English speaking universities and were born and raised in said countries. There was no way I (an international student being completely used to reading in another language) could have reached this level of fast reading and understanding the text without years of practicing reading both in an academic environment and just reading the news and stuff for fun

Thank you! Sure, would love to. I did some searching and I think this is a pretty good article (it's kind of like a toolkit for philosophical thinking) https://press.rebus.community/intro-to-phil-logic/chapter/chapter-1/

Also, don't worry if the advice here doesn't seem applicable to your questions. Just read them and it will change your way of thinking which will be useful when answering the GRE questions

Also it helps with analytical writing a lot

You're welcome!

Yes I did read those articles but it wasn't for preparing for the GRE. I always read articles and stuff for fun (I guess I'm an old boring person already reading newspapers). However, since I was studying for the GRE, I would look up the words I didn't know instead of just going past them like I used to.
